  We loved everything. We have stayed at several large and boutique hotels on the Gold Coast and the Peninsula is probably the best across the board. I have a difficult last name, but all of the staff immediately remembered it and also pronounced it correctly. - The location couldn't have been more convenient!   We traveled with an 8 year old. The room even with a rollaway bed was very large. The city/lake view was great. The highlight for our child was the dessert - a snickerdoodle ice cream sandwich - from the restaurant. It is conveniently located. - It was our 25th anninersary.   I liked the views of the lake...they were exquisite. The room was large and comfortable including a minibar and a little kitchenette (sink only).
