  The staff was friendly and professional. The room (we had an executive queen suite) was large, clean, tastefully decorated with a microwave and mini fridge. It included a sleeper sofa with an additional flat screen tv in the sitting area.   Great location. Beside subway station and just a 5min ride into Manhattan. So handy. Easy to find if travelling from jfk. Area was safe but not a lot to see around the hotel. There doesn't really need to be though, as Manhattan is just across the river. Staff all very friendly and helpful. Room was great, very comfy and clean. The subway station is so close to the hotel, that when you got off the station you can actually see the hotel right from there.   The hotel was easy to find and the gps took us right there. The hotel is located across from a Holiday Inn. If you look up the address on Google Maps, the picture that is taken is rather old so the hotel was not built yet but you can see the Holiday Inn. A few mins walk to train station, took 10mins to get to Manhatten, and some great pubs within 5mins walk. Felt safe walking the area at night too. There was hot beverages on tap 24 hours a day and free. There was even an ice machine and vending machines. Highly recommend the Verve and was one of tbe best hotels ever
