I had the feeling to have a room like the Sheraton at a Motel price
location - for a traveller without a car, this was probably the best location i could have stayed in as it made the city centre walkable, and was very close to light rail and bus connections (although I wish Phoenix had better public transport..... oh well it isn't Europe!)
The room was large and the shower had pressure, It was quiet, even though it was on a main street and by the ASU campus.
Tried to think of something, and I couldn't. And we were there for 4 days...
good breakfast good value for money drinks on tap very near to all amenities
Good rooms, cleaners were excellent, good facilities and good price.
The gentleman working behind reception was terrible. Extremely rude, unhelpful and at one point shouted for us to "Come here!" Then accused us of illegally parking at the hotel. When had to explain we were guests.... Awful!
I liked the hotel clean friendly nice room good value
I don't like any place were I don't feel safe if I stepped one foot of hotel property at night
The staff was helpful and friendly. The hotel was spotlessly clean.
nothing
Great staff, lovely hotel for the price you pay. We've stayed at some others these chain hotels and this is by far the best. Great pool, awesome weather. Loved it.
Great price
Smell of smoke
Great value and walking distance to Chase Field.
No problems.
The cleanliness of the room was exceptional. I knew it would be nice but this place exceeded my expectations
The continental breakfast was definitely a plus. Very good rates and clerk was very nice to myself and family. Will be staying there in the future.
I absolutely loved the room and the front desk staff! Great hotel!
I didn't like that I came into the room with a dirty sponge in the bathroom sink and hair in it. Then when I went to use the phone there was food on the table and dust under the phone about an inch thick. Need more cleanliness.
The extra large bathtub! Multiple mirrors!! space and layout!!! Clean, quiet and not crowded!
The outside/layout does not do justice to the inside.
Everything. Proximity to Convention Center for ASU Graduation
Friendly staff, most especially Karla (not too sure of the exact spelling). She is excellent. She is very receptive and understanding. she is a great asset to super 8.
need to improve on varieties available at breakfast
The personal is perfect, very freandly.
Super 8 was well worth the money. We only stayed 2 nights but was a pleasurable stay. Bed was comfy and the room was a good size. We had a car so it was easy to get around Pheonix, if you didn't then it would probably be abit far out but then again there's taxis and a bus line not too far away! Would definitiley recommend to everyone and would stay here again if I was visiting!
Nice staff Breakfast Flat screen TV
Desk chair too high for desk Would like another safety bar in the shower at the front
The location was superb. The convention center was about a 12 minute easy walk on a well-lit, main road. Karla at the front desk was especially warm and welcoming. Fairly good breakfast.
The air conditioner was noisy.
AC unit didnt work very well
The manager and staff created an environment that caused me to feel safe and secure. The rooms are quite lovely, clean and recently renovated. The free coffee was great along with the breakfasts. I was a teeny bit disappointed with the pool being closed while they waited on getting the disability lift installed. Not sure why it would not be used until that install, something to do with the city though. Aside from that, I was updated in regards to the things going on downtown so I had adventures to go on and I didn't even ask! My stay was lengthy and by the time I left, I had new friends. I am glad there is a standard of quality that seems to hinge on safety first. Thanks to Walt, Karla, Jen and Pauline and Roy for everything. To me, it was pretty much perfect!
Those "other" people who wander in front of the rooms being noisy (loud shoes, yelling, talking like they think everyone is awake because they are...)...don't they realize they can be heard? ...It's not sound proof you know. Be courteous, Be Quiet!!
It was there.
Staff did NOTHING when the power went out leaving guests in darkened rooms to guess what MIGHT be happening. The manager simply repeated when confronted that power outages are an act of God. A torch might have been useful.
Loved the luxurious feel of the bathroom.
The pillows were awfully skimpy. The bedding had makeup on it
Rooms are newly refurbished.
The 'non-smoking' room smelled strongly of smoke. The manager is defensive and seeks to justify his position rather than accepting criticism and fixing the problem.
New, well appointed rooms. Spacious bathroom, but rather cramped room. Good bed and bedding. Clean. Large modern TV. Acceptable wi-fi.
This hotel makes much of its location close to the city. If that is important to you, fine. For me, it carries no weight and does not justify the expensive rates and rather seedy neighbourhood. The area is quite dead and a little unsafe at night. I would far rather be in the suburbs near a convenient mall. Breakfast is very limited in a very crowded little room, and ends early at just 9am. The staff do not bother to keep the tables or serving area clean.
-Location near city center
- poor breakfast
Paid cash for room and,my card is showing pending charge for my 2 rooms. Shower curtain had stained spots and mold. Hair dryer was full ofdust particles on back ac unit was old and didnt work very well. Just wasnt very clean at,all.
The swimming pool looks great! And breakfast is wonderful!
The guy at the reception desk is not so friendly.I found a cockroach in my room!
Room was nice
The hotel is not in a good neighborhood,we saw people on the street a blk away selling drugs, police chasing someone on Van Buren.I Was over charged on my bill, breakfast was poor. For the money I have stayed in much better hotels, and I travel alot ! Pool was durty.
Walking distance to conference center
One of the rooms had bedbugs, another room had dirty comforter on the bed. When asked about the above items the manager told me there were not bedbugs in the room and that the teacher staying in the room had brought them with her.
