  My wife and I have found the Candlewood Suites a great chain. You will not be dissapointed with this Las Vegas Hotel. Ok it is not directly on the strip but its only 10 mins by foot which suited us. At night it was quite and it also has plenty of parking. The room was clean, comfortable and well furnished.   Stayed there on business a few times so knew what to expect. Fan static room, for the price you wouldn't get anything as good on the strip. No slot machines, decent gym and decent breakfast. - I love the full size fridge, the individual bedrooms on opposite sides of the main "living area". The view was AMAZING from the living room!!!

  I was extremely wary after reading the negative reviews for this hotel but the price was right and as a college student the price was really what it came down to. I was pleasantly surprised when our suite was clean and spacious. I would recommend taking air freshener because the scent of cleaning agents was strong. Looked good but we did not use it or stay in the hotel much. It is far from the strip but not a problem if you have a car. Nice view of surrounding hills, proximity to a Lake Mead area, and Las Vegas worked for us.

  From the moment I walked in to the reception the staff just smiled and was super-friendly. Got help when i neede to make phonecalls and I was able to do a very late check-out.   The layout of the one bedroom suite was well-thought with almost everything one might need to feel the comforts of home. There was even a washer/dryer in the suite.
