  We booked the King Deluxe room. From letsbookhotel.com the value was awesome for San Fran. The bed was very comfortable. The room was clean and far uptodate than standard hotel rooms, iphone docking on the clock, widescreen tv, DirectTV... Yes I said DirectTV.   Firstly the location is great. You are right at the start of the cable car which you can take over to fisherman's wharf. Room had been updated sympathetically and although not large by US standards, you could definately swing a cat if that was your thing.   Friendly and efficient staff, quick check-in (and a couple of hours earlier than scheduled time), nice breakfast, quiet and comfortable room, nice toiletery products in the bathroom, great proximity to Union Square and public transport, great value for money. I also really liked the many tributes in the hallways to US servicemen. - The hotel has a lovely feel to it - pleasant staff on arrival; comfortable rooms; well positioned for an easy stroll into town and access to all amenities. As the name of the hotel might suggest there are strong links to the military and as a visitor from the UK it was pleasing to see the level of respect that is shown.
