  We were just several blocks from downtown, on the city bus route. City bus fares are excellent in San Antonio for seniors. It was also just 4 blocks from the Amtack station. The neighborhood is on a fringe area but we (2 men) felt safe.   I liked every aspect of this hotel. The rooms were beautiful and felt comfortable. The showers are huge and everything is well taken care of. I like the personal feel of this hotel; since there are only 16 total rooms the innkeepers are there whenever needed. The breakfast is outstanding; homemade quiche is one of a kind.
