This is a very nice place to stay. The resort like most in the area is older and doesn't have the same accomodations as the new hotels but that is not why we wanted to stay here. The staff was friendly and the food was good. The resort is within walking distance of the town and provides a beautiful view. The location...the staff was outstanding and the front desk staffer that checked us in recommended two very good restaurants!...the resort was quaint...the breakfast each morning was outstanding - a lot of variety...closeness to "downtown" Kennenbunkport was remarkable - a 10 minute leisurely walk...
所有评语 » Very comfortable and well manicured surroundings. The garden area and general landscaping was beautiful. While we were a couple, it seemed an ideal facility for families with children of all ages. Easy walk into town as well as other restaurants in the area. Keurig coffee maker in every room. Activities for children. Friendly staff Walking distant to lovely shops. Restaurent and entertainment on site. Planed outside evening activity toasting marshmallows by the water with entertainment, and beautiful moon. Location was convenient. staff was friendly and the facility has potential, but they were just opening up for the season and were still getting some things straight, which took away from what my experience could have been. The hotel has a very friendly, comfortable atmosphere, the staff were all wonderful. We visited for a wedding. I called ahead to request an early check in which was arranged, thank you for being so accommodating. Everything was fantastic - staff - and all the help they gave us - loved the breakfast - we would definetely stay there again and plan to in the Spring. Very satisfied there were 7 of us and we can't say enough. Loved our large, first floor walk out room overlooking the docks, lawn and "lighthouse". Loved the dinner, the Cowboy steak "was the best I ever had". Beautiful , quiet views watching the boats float by. The Staff was excellent. The brunch was very nice, the food and choices were great. The view of the river and ocean was awesome. We stayed in an ocean view room. Also the wonderful morning breakfast in the dining room. I likes the pool and the staff. Room, views. old charm. The bed was good...the shower was fair...the window air conditioner was loud but effective and it kept the room at a steady temperature...remembering that it is an old inn helps to understand...but we were given a corner king and in itself it was great with two large windows on each side...very little not to like about this wonderful resort!. Our room was in the older section of the resort, but still pleasant. Suggested to manager that restaurant menu should add more choices many seafood entree, however no chicken and only two red meat choices. Breakfast buffet had the potential to be good, but it needs work....chafing dish foods not refreshed often enough, so they were dry. Also, this was one of the first nice weekends of spring, and they didn't have any Adirondack chairs set up on their lawn. When I asked them if they could put a few out, they ignored the request, and told me it was too cold...I told them that I would be the judge of that, but it fell on deaf ears. It would have taken very little effort for them to do this. Not a fault of the Nonantum in any way, but we had a snack and drinks by the pool and the bag of chips that came with the lobster roll had a lot of ants in the bag. There was no offer though to replace them unfortunately. No complaints - we were all pleased. Nothing. More insulation above the rooms would be nice. Could hear little feet above us. The staff was very accomadating at moving us to another room. nothing; we liked it all. great place to visit each year on our anniversary. not a thing. Wireless connection very weak the farther away from the main lobby you went. the mattress was extremely uncomfortable and needed to be retired!. The old lift!. Old elevator is quaint but can only be operated by staff. They need to up date the tv. Very quiet at start of season, a little lacking in atmosphere. Bathroom sink/counter area a little small for 2 people;. Not a thing. Parking was poor. We were in room 104 and there were no handicap spots in that area. When we arrived the bell boy told us to park in a particular spot and when we left to put the orange cone in its place. However, someone moved the cone and someone else parked there. Also, Adirondak chairs are hard for us old folks to get in and out of. Oh, only one chair in the room. I realize the rooms were small, but it's hard on the back to have to sit on the edge of the bed all the time. Nothing to not like. Bar that closed at 10.30 on Saturday Breakfast hostess dressed as if for beach No healthy options for breakfast Bedrooms badly in need of upgrade Poor shower control so water either burning or freezing Delays due to waiting for hand cranked elevator. Loved everything!. Bed was much too soft for me, however, my wife liked it. Sandy parking area which means it gets all over the car. Too noisy, right by the stairs and elevator. You would think that by reserving my room 3 months in advance I could get a quiet room. No view of the water, but everything else was lovely. Wi fi didn't work in room, parking shortage. carpeting in some rooms. Very noisy did to a wedding. Got a message late in evening offering an upgrade but too late to move. Should have been offered different room on check in. far from de beach. Old plumbing. Wasn't crazy about the room. Overcharging my credit card with unauthorized transactions. We were charged for two rooms instead of one room.......They would not make an adjustment. The bathroom in our room was too small and there was no place for us to put our toiletries. The Pool and Pool area needed more supervision. I did not like the out dated rooms and hotel. They said activities for the kids but there was nothing for them. In Maine but they had run out of lobster.staircase was dirty. very old fasfion. Terrible dinner experience. The property is old, the window is not clean. carpet in the room is dirty/old. Bathroom is small. Breakfast is incl but the yogurt looks old. I tried it twice but doesn't look fresh enough for me to put in my mouth. We booked a river view room but the river is far away, beyond the parking lot, then a bunch of trees. Only see the river in a distance which is like a line on the horizon. It's not worth the rate they charge. Nobody told us (you) that the elevator is a laugh and that we had to wait until some staff member could be rounded up to operate it - and we were on the 4th floor. A rip-off at the price we were charged. Ps The breakfast was fine.
