The location and level of service we received for what we paid was excellent. The shuttle driver, clerks and staff were all very pleasant and helpful. Our room was large and almost felt like a small urban apartment. We loved it! The included breakfast was bountiful and a great way to start both mornings we spent there. The hotel is smack in the middle of the old-downtown shopping action. After arrival, we didn't start our car again until we were heading back home!.
所有评语 » Vintage hotel, real keys, high charm. Hotel had restaurant and bar (which were the only thing open on national holiday). Great location in the heart of walking/shopping area. Offsite parking in town where parking is at a premium. The location was right in the middle of the downtown activity. Just step out of the door and shopping and restaurants all around. The hotel was old but remodeled to be quite comfortable while maintaining the charms of its age. I loved the location of the hotel! Being in the center of Eureka Springs was well worth it. We had a great view of the Basin Springs and the room was terrific! It's nice to be able to park your car and walk every where. Location to downtown Eureka Springs and food. This is an old hotel, so don't expect up-to-date plumbing. I would check out the Crescent Hotel before Basin Park. We loved the character of the Basin Hotel. It was like stepping back in time. Eureka Springs is like walking around in a snow globe. The Old Hotel, and in such Great Shape, the Staff was always Friendly and Helpful. We had a Great Time. Really enjoyed the ghost tour. Liked the location. Within walking distance of a lot of activities. The upgrade to a bigger suite was awesome. Food and bar at hotel was also great. Loved the Queen spa room. Very roomy. Great breakfast, helpful staff. Downtown in the middle of everything! Has a shuttle, nice staff. We loved everything about the hotel. It was an amazing stay. Location balcony restaurant $89 per night rate. The close proximity to all the shopping. The staff was helpful always. The location was wonderful. The rooms were old,dingy and uncomfortable. We had many hidden charges on our bill that were not discussed before booking. The hotel has a lot of history and the location is excellent, right in the middle of downtown. The mattress in our suite was a bit of a rock, but I think we're just spoiled to our memory foam at home. Unable to shut out street light and hotel exterior lighting from room. Need to improve curtains and/or blinds. Too bright to sleep. Sheets were not soft. At first the parking seemed to be a problem, but they very quickly transport guests and luggage to/from a parking lot 2-3 blocks away. Did not need a car during our stay as most things were near Hotel. We didn't have hot water (at all). They charged a gratuity and entertainment fee. I stayed five days in Arkansas, one in Little Rock (Comfort Inn--excellent) two in Hot Springs (Arlington Hotel-very good) and two at Basin Park. They were the only hotel to charge such fees. I should have asked for refund, but left without doing so, my mistake. I plan on writing them and asking for a refund. nothing. Weekend was too short. Interior King room was a little small. There wasnt anything we didnt like. They messed up our reservation and we didn't get the king bed, we had to take a room with 2 doubles. We took the ghost tour, very disapointed with guide and overall presentation. Very poorly done. Waste of time and money!!!!. I really didn't like the small elevator. I took the stairs a lot. Room was about a 110 years old. Needs some updating. nothing. Poor lighting in room. First two people we encountered at hotel appeared bored and afraid to smile. Did I mention it's an old hotel? With that you get creaky floors, old fixtures, outlets that may not work, and lots of sound from other rooms. Our room (double) this visit was small and not nearly as nice as other rooms (usually king)we have stayed in at the Basin. Carpets dirty & old in common areas. Poor lighting in room. Coffee shop closed and under construction. * Overcharged for the room. Reservations were wrong and we were charged $400 for a room that our reservation quoted at $309. This happened to two other couples we were staying with and they were given a discount/upgraded Jacuzzi room. Also, the 6th floor bar and pool tables are stated as open until 12:00 but when our group got there at 11:20 they said they were no longer serving. Old and dirty cramped bathroom one elevator. The fact that both times I have stayed there I was on the 5th floor right under the noise from the bar and the conference rooms. The restaurant was bad the rice was under cooked the vegtables were over cooked more like mush and I never seen a trout deep fried it all sucked really bad at the restaurant Additionally, the room was about the size of a large closet and not what I expected for over $200 it was really bad would never stay there again. The rooms were very small and the bed was not comfortable at all. Too much money for what you got. We would not stay here again. Community jacuzzi out of order.
