We liked the hotel. It was in a good location if you are visiting the city. The Hotel Staff was very friendly and helpful. We arrived late at night and had a problem with checkin. Our reservation was for a double room away from the elevator with a river view. They only had two rooms left and they were by the elevator. After all was said and done, Emily found a perfect room for us just as we had requested. We were in a Club Room and the two ladies that helped with breakfast each morning were ext.
所有评语 » We enjoyed our stay at the Chicago Renaissance Hotel a great deal. The staff were congenial and respectful, appearing very invested in meeting our needs. We loved the attention to details such as, the lovely aroma that enveloped us when we walked into the lobby. Our comfortable room on the 21st floor, gave us a view of Lake Michigan, the Chicago River, State Street and nearby skyscrapers. We would definitely stay there again. From the moment we walked in we were welcomed by the staff, front desk was excellent Anthony went out of his way to help us I give him an "A", food and drinks at novo were excellent and so was the staff. my room with a view was incredible, my wife and daughters found a second home in Chicago!!! Thank you. loved the way the staff set up my request for chilled champagne and flowers(blood roses) and chocolate covered strawberries , when we got back from our evening it was so perfect and romantic, thank you so so much The view was fantastic!!!!!. I thought the location was great. Just a little bit off of Michigan Ave but just enough to offer a little bit of peace and not so much congestion. The rooms were very comfortable and our two rooms were ready when we arrived at 11:00 am. The view, staff, valet, etc. It was the best trip close to home. Location was fabulous. Everyone was very helpful and attentive. I have spoke with my co-workers and friends and recommened The Renaissance Chicago. Location was great, everywhere we wanted to shop, eat was in walking distance. Hotel staff was on point including valet, call ahead and valet had my car ready for me as I needed. Pool and spa was nice. I had a room overlooking the river with an amazing view. Room is very well equiped, coffee making facilities, desk, nice comfy chair, good quality beds and generous size bathroom. A large gym. Booked riverside bedrooms - fantastic views. Staff were friendly and Air conditioning worked well. Rooms very comfortable and clean. beds and pillows top notch. The personnel were great. Made us feel welcomed. The views were outstanding. I might consider going back but will look for something more reasonable. Location,view beautiful,services great, quiet,clean,comfortable,food is great, very close to walk to Millenium Park other sites to see!. The staff was tremendous. Great location close to shopping, theatre, House of Blues, etc. Pool/spa was very nice with great views. If you like to stay Downtown this is the place to be. Make your choice for a river view room. Excelent skyline view from your room. City was amazing. Hotel was perfectly located for all activities and the staff was very helpful. Although not disabled we were impressed with the accomadations at the pool for those that were. The facilities are excellent and the staff is extremely attentive and friendly. With the thermostat being pre-set to not allow the temperature to be set below 65º meant that my husband sweated all night long because we didn't have any other choice but to use the warm comforter. no drinks allowed by pool area, old rug in the restroom need to throw it away. parking a little pricey, could be lowered for tenants that have temporary visitors. there was nothing negative about our stay it was exquisite!!!. Everything about the trip was fabulous. No complaints. Could of used a small fridge in our room, that's about it. The food in the bar sounded great but preparation was average at most. The bar decor was dark and lacked atmosphere. The corridors need refurbishment and give the impression that the rooms will be old and dowdy which the corridors are. However the rooms are very good. The parking was outrageous compared to other hotels. $65 for valet only compared to $45-50 other places. Did not care for the Great Street restaurant. Way over priced and the food was not good at all. Would never go there again. Bar needs to switch from Pepsi to Coke and get rid of wasabi peas as snacks. The pool is small. My Bookings reservation was not in the hotel's system when we arrived, but because I had my confirmation email, they honored it specifically, rate, type of room, etc., even though it was a busy weekend for the hotel and city. - no free WI-fi. The couches in the Novo bar were uncomfortable. Chicago is a busy place for a country boy!. We accidentally picked a busy weekend so price was pretty high and had to pay extra to get a river view. We had a do not disturb sign on the door and room service still tried to enter the room. Thank goodness we had the security bar pushed over. We requested a queen on king bedroom, we were given a twin double. Pool hours. Barking dog in the room next to us. I didnt like for the amount of money for 1 night we didnt get to enjoy contentinal breakfest that was the only thing I didnt like. Parking was more expensive, the front driveway was crowded making getting in and out take longer than needed. Cost of parking, only one bad piece of advice from concierge staff: parking on streets is "free" on Sundays. Result:$130 of parking fines! Please tell staff to Clearly advise otherwise. Did not like that our room did not have a fridge..we always have leftovers from Cheesecake Factory and nowhere to store them. Hated our view..of a roof, no city view, lack of view worth opening the drapes for made our room feel even smaller than it was. Would have liked free wifi in room but going to lobby was okay. The food and drinks were very expensive in the hotel. Hotel room door was dirty with hand prints and smudges and bathroom counter was dusty. But, the housekeeping associate was kind enough to clean the door without any hestitation. Wifi not included. Pillows too big. Noise of the Loop even on 19th floor. Go for a riverview room to avoid this. We booked a queen, but all they had was a king and not even a cot. Also, it took about 5 minutes for the hot water to heat up. nothing. Stayed 2 nights but never received room service. In room coffee was low quality. No TV channel guide in room. No guide to hotel services in room. Upon booking reservations breakfast for 2 people was to be included . That was also stated on my printed out confirmation letter. But we ended up being charged for that . a slight odor/scent when you came through the front door. The room was dusty and when i closed the curtains, the dust made me sneeze. My husband noticed the dust and he never notices this.
