  Unfairly or not, I was (pleasantly) surprised at the cleanliness and updated look of my room. Given the quality of the room, and the date of my stay (Friday night of Labor Day weekend), this was an excellent value. Definitely recommended for budget travelers. - Just a short drive in to Carlsbad. You can park for free in downtown and walk around ... 别人怎么说 » to all the shops or go lay on the beach.
