The super deluxe room was large and nice. The balcony and view were great.

The location is a must with a beautiful view on the Ocean. The chalet houses are well-equipped with BBQ.
The hotel is somehow old-fashioned and the water of the swimming pool was not so clear.
This is a very laid back and family friendly resort - good value and great location. Good for a short-break.
The snorkel hire, at AED 60 was a bit steep - this is for a whole day, which is also too long - most people will only reasonably be able to snorkel for a couple of hours. Please introduce an hourly rate!
Excellent 3* hotel. Ideal for families and large groups. You can BYOB and grill your own meat. Excellent beach.

I have been staying at Sandy Beach Hotel since 1984 and I keep coming back - and they keep improving it! I am a diver and it is ideally situated for diving on the best sites on the UAE East coast. The 2-bedroom chalets are a special favourite as you can cater for yourself and barbecue. This time I stayed in an upstairs hotel room and had a beautiful view of the beach and "Snoopy" Island.
Busloads of day trippers shipped in to use the pool / beach for the day.

The activities you can do are limited to swimming, diving or riding kayak
Facilities like boating, diving, play area for kids..

The location and dive centre are great. It's on the best spot on Al Aqah, right by snoopy island with an awesome stretch of beach. Some of the staff are really nice and should be commended on excellent customer service, though generally they're a dreary bunch.
Sandy Beach is run down and over-priced when compared to the other resorts on al aqah beach and nearby. The restaurant is as terrible as it's always been, and could really use an overhaul from the chef and food quality, the staff training to general ambience. The restaurant and food options just suck.
It was a nice getaway. If you want to spend nice quiet time, this is the place to do it. I had a great time.
I didn't have any problems. My stay at Sandy Beach Resort was great. I guess the only think I can complain about was that it takes about 35-40 min to get to Fujairah if you want to do some shopping, but that's one of the reasons I chose that location, because it was out of town.

I liked the location and the expanse of the hotel. The rooms were nice and large. It was very comfortable. It is a perfect beach holiday destination. It felt homely. The staff was very dood.
I didn't like the lack of basic amenities like toothpaste, toothbrushes, shaving, vanity kits. The room AC was not great (old and the tonnage was lower than required to cool a room of that size).

Not so luxurious rooms and no so reach variety in breakfast gor a 4 stars rated hotel and resort.I would like to have a kitchenette too since i have a baby and i had to wash everything in the bathroom which was not so convenient!
We had a wonderful stay there, this is the best location on the coast. The rooms are basic but clean and with beautiful views. The staff were friendly and efficient and the whole weekend was perfect. Thank you
I've been a fun of this place since 90-s, when it used to be one upper class motel with unique location. Lots has changed since...for better. Love the place. The restaurant has improved big time for the past years. It used to be almost not-edable food before. Now it's very nice. Thanks.
The policy of checking in and out are not the best, especially considering that arriving by 3pm you have just 2 hrs left to rent a snorkling equippment and u have to pay twice for the late hrs that day plus the same next morning if you still wish to go snorkling.The hotel staff is trying to accommodate you at their best, still the general policy is not so kind as it could be.
Excellent Service!! One of a kind! Me and boyfriend toook a taxi from dubai to Sandy beach, we we're lost on our way for 4 hours and Sandy Beach sent their staff with a personal car to pick us up on a place where we got stranded. I have requested for a sea view room and it was really lovely. It is worth the hassle that we've got of getting there. Staff are really friendly and very helpful. Great location, the rooms are right on the beachfront with a nice seating area. The grounds are lovely and the beach terrific.
The service in the restaurants and bar was very slow and the menus had nothing for vegetarians. Alcohol is expensive, more so than many 5 star hotels in the UAE.

Listening to the sound of the surf at night - this is not possible at the mega hotels. The beautiful and always pleasant ocean view. The newly remodeled bathrooms are great. Friendly staff.
The breakfast area is cheap and crowded - fresh fruit would've been nice (seeing as its for sale at every roadside). No english language news tv channels (only russian and arabic news) which is odd seeing as english is the "second lanquage" of the uae. Beach/pool service would've been nice (they could sell alot more drinks that way).

Rooms are mouldy and very basic.
Nice location, friendly staff, nice pool, a reef for scuba diving or snorkling just 50 - 75 meters away from the hotel. Good place for a quick break from the city.
They have a notice in the room, that says "housemaids are not allowed to use the pool under any circumstance". I find this very derogatory. Are housemaids not human-beings? Besides, it is not as if they allow housemaids to stay for free in the hotel.
