Everything was great. Make a note: you need to know where to look for the place: you make turn into a yard and then go down on the right side of that yard to get into an inner yard all the way on the back. It's a large flat converted into a hostel, so building is just a regular apartment building - no big signs or anything... "front desk" is in the hallway of the flat - don't get discouraged, just ring the bell. (both of them as one of them doesn't work) Combination lock on the door has a c.
所有评语 » The staff in this hostel provided an excellent service and answered all of our questions and queries in a polite and helpful way! They went out of their way to help us. Plus, their English was really amazing. The hygiene and cleanliness of the hostel was also excellent. The hostel had a very cosy, homely feel to it and provided many facilities for travellers. Most importantly, it really does what it claims in its name - it is really central! The main road is 2 minutes walk away and the hoste. The receptionist was very friendly and helpful. The location is excellent. The room is clean, the bath and the toilet as well. Plates, caps... are available. Tee, sugar for free. A small fridge is available in the flat. In general we were very satisfied. Warm, friendly place accomidating lots of fellow travelers to meet. Excellent location. Extremely friendly staff. Spacious dorm rooms and common facilities with lots of amenities. One of the best hostels I've stayed in during 2 months of travel. Staff was very helpful. Enough bathroom facilities. Coming back late at night was no problem. We had no problems at all getting back around 2 or 3 am. Definitely Recommendable. Great lcoation. Easy walk to the metro. The location is really great: 1 minute from Teatralnaya subway station, 2 minutes to Kreshatik Street. Nothing wrong with the place. All you need to know is where to find it and how to open the door and have your expectations adjusted that it's not a big hotel. We were prepared and we loved it. Minor point, but for visitors who just arrived in Kiev for the first time and perhaps don't speak Ukrainian, finding the hostel can be a really difficult experience. It is hidden in a courtyard away from the main street with very few signs and directions. THe hostel is located on two stores. It took time to find the receptionist. The hostel is in the second inner yard of the living houses. It was a bit difficul to find. Not enough direction signes. Everything is so small. No kitchen. You should take off your shous at the entrance door. 1 controller for3conditioners in 3 different rooms. The price is a little high for a hostel. Ukrainian people told me that I should have paid about one-half to one-third of what I did. However, all the other hostels were overcharging foreigners as well. In light of this situation, this hostel's price was fair. There were too much people, more then hostel can get, so was very noisy, no chance to get to the shower- only 1 for 30 people, and no space at all. Все остальное близко к гастербайтерской убогости....комнаты переполненны кроватями до отказа, грязновато, постоянно какие-то недочеты и жалобы, все поломано ( утюг оставляет пятна, фен только жужжит, но воздух как таковой оттуда не выходит, чайник поломан вообще, причем воду на чай предлагают набирать прямо из под крана в ванной). Not clean, staff not willing to help and have no idea about answering the most obvious questions (i.e. how to go to the airport by public transport in the evening...), triple overcharge for a taxi if you go to Zhulyany airport, kitchen is terrible (you almost can’t cook even basic things like pasta). Most of the guests are old foreign men, which work in Kiev or (more likely) search their future Ukrainian wife, so it’s not really hostel atmosphere. It is the worst hostel I've been to. It's just an apartment that was turned to communal flat. If you are ready to wait in huge lines to get to the bathroom, to listen to other people snoring in the next room and to leave without personal space - this place is for you. Though it is cheap I recommend to try to find another hostel.
