Friendly owner (Ian) rang us before our arrival on the day and met us as we arrived even though it was late. Ian checked what we would like for breakfast the following day (and did this each day of our stay) and gave us a map of the local area- pointing out things of interest. Very comfortable bed and pillows, room itself very clean and comfortable and warm, decorated really nicely - as in pictures online. Quiet road and room, even when the B+B was full. I stayed there for 2 nights with my frd. Ian and Lynn were very friendly and helpful. The room and the en suite bathroom are super comfortable and clean. The breakfast is also good.
The hotel locates in a tranquil block just besides a brook and is about 10 minutes walk from Windermere railway station & bus stop. To me it was not too far and there are many good gift shops on the way from the station to the hotel.
The guest house was one of the factor that makes my stay in the Lake District .
What a lovely B&B - real charm from the outside with a beutiful stream right out side. Perfectly located - walking distance to both the train station and the lake. Great hearty breakfast every morning meant we didn't need to eat lunch! The best part were the amazing owners - husband and wife team who were so helpful and attentive. Gave us advice for walks and other towns to visit. Truely lovely.
Excellent service provided, a great selection of breakfast items on offer, lots of fresh fruit and choice of cereals, yoghurts, beverages etc.
Frienldy hosts, health concious cooking. Good location between Windermere and Bowness, very easy walking distance of both. Would be happy to stay again and to recommend to friends.
Close to Windermere centre ,a short walk to Bowness and the lake (or bus stop close, a taxi ride costs about £ 3.). Our hosts,Ian and Lynne were friendly,attentive and helpful.Room was clean, large and comfortable .Ensuite with plenty of hot water (modern decor ).We liked it enough to stay an extra night .

the owners were great, got the impression nothing would be too much trouble. Breakfast choices were far better than recent hotels we have stayed in. Room was spotless as was ensuite. Very attentive, room recently refurbished to a fabulous standard , really warm , comfortable bed . Well appointed en-suite. Great food and good local knowledge. Quite simply brilliant .

Bed was too small for me, used to a king size and bed linens seemed a little dated.Slightly longer breakfast window would be fab.
