The Arden Hotel is perfectly positioned opposite the Avon river and theatre and close to town. Plenty of free parking. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. Our room, a Superior Double, infact had a huge King size bed, extremely comfortable with lovely pillows, spotlessly clean with a large ensuite, although we knew there was a shower over the bath the bath has high sides so could be differcult for some people to get into. 所有评语 » One of the best hotels we have tried. The staff are friendly, helpful and very professional. Our room was very well equipped and tastefully furnished. We had a good nights sleep with no noise from other guests, which is unusual in hotels. We found the location excellent, right near the theatre and the town centre. We would happily make a return visit. The Hotel is extremely well located near all the historic buildings and the centre of town all within walking distance. The staff were friendly, helpful and efficient. Our room was well fitted and comfortable with seating, TV and coffee making facilities. We had a large en-suite with dressing gowns and plenty of towels. The breakfasts were excellent. We've loved staying at the Arden since it re opened. The location and car park is unbeatable , the rooms are opulent and cosy , the beds are amazing together with lots of feather pillows.The staff are always attentive and helpful. It does not need a Spa,Pool Gym... It's not necessary with everything else to see and do in Stratford. The hotel is perfectly located opposite to the Waterside and RSC. The city centre, restaurants and all attractions are within walking distance. The rooms are tastefully and luxuriously decorated. Clear instructions to the car park were provided by the hotel prior to arrival. Ample parking at the back of the hotel. We loved staying at The Arden. The room we stayed in was lovely and clean. There is even a fridge! The breakfast was made to order and very nice. We had dinner in the hotel restaurant and it was amazing. All the staff are very friendly and helpful. Definitely book a show at Shakespeare's theatre across the road. The hotel has a brilliant location near the river, shops and theatres. It provided an excellent service without being fussy. We stayed only one night but would happily have stayed longer. The hotel was excellent from the staff to the rooms, the food to the position near the river and opposite the RSC. It was excellent. Staff were outstanding. They were helpful and very accomodating. The overall ambiance of the hotel was quaint and sophisitcated. Welcome and comfort and it's convenience for the theatre. The theatre dinner was fine and perfectly arranged. As all big hotels there was a wedding the day we stayed but our room was away from the Reception so we were not disturbed apart from the guest in the room above who were abit heavy footed. Nothing...we enjoyed it all. We were very disappointed with the restaurant and the evening meals. We felt that it rather let the hotel down. The meals were not up to a standard of a first class hotel. Leaving ! ( Need to 'staff' the Residents Bar ). We had afternoon tea in the terrace of the restaurant when we arrived. The environment was great but the food was appointing - the sandwiches were all dried up and the scones were hard and cold. The car park was a little tricky to find, but success was had on the second time around the block. Nothing !. One waiter should wait a few moments before asking whether or not we were enjoying our food: I had only managed one mouthful before the question was asked on more than one occasion. I think he was fairly new so will no doubt improve with experience. We love Stratford and our hotel base enhanced this visit. Our room was very hot. No complaints at all. Leaking faucet which got worse while we were there. But the last morning before check out it was leaking steadily. I told the desk staff about it when I left. Cannot fault. Room was not ready on arrival, no milk on second day, had to request fron reception, no spare loo roll. Not what you expect for the price we paid. Choice of room labelling sometimes confusing as learning the route required rather than searching the tree pictures on the doors. Not staying an extra night!. Stairs. Nothing. Limited menu if staying for longer than one night. That I couldnt stop another night!. overpriced menu with limited choices. nothing. Checkout time @11am is mean. Breakfast doesn't end until 10:30am. Our complaint was ignored. Not nice. Bad policy. staff clearing the restaurant whilst diners had not yet finished their meal. No air conditioning- a fan on continuously made no difference at all to the heat Wouldn't stop again in hot weather. We thought it was very expensive for what you got. Very pricey for the quality Bar restaurant staff tended to ignore you (hotel was very busy). We have stayed before and been very pleased. On this occasion we were very disappointed. Staff with dirty unhygienic uniforms. A noisy room. A complete lack of service at breakfast so that after waiting for 35 minutes we left without breakfast. Evening dinner quite non-descript. A broken window frame so that the window would not shut until staff were called. Not what we expected at all!.
