We stayed because we had a family occasion nearby and didn't want to be bothered with Taxi's etc. The bed was amazingly comfortable with good plump pillows and a luxury throw on for comfort. The mattress was so deep I felt like Princess in Princess and the Pea! Bath was good and plentiful of hot water and a good shower. Staff couldn't have been better-informed us on checking in about the side door being locked after dark for the safety fo the guests and when we arrived back at 12.30+ am the g.
所有评语 » This is an excellent hotel in the centre of Ramsbottom, good for walking the moors or visiting nearby Bury and Manchester. The staff were friendly and helpful, the room clean and comfortable and the wifi was excellent. Also, the full English breakfast can be recommended. The bar may be noisy at times but it is a pub. Loved the atmosphere. Wished the history of the place was better advertised. I love history, as does many travelers. Perhaps this would be a selling point for the hotel? Quaint. Pub downstairs with locals was great! Great staff. Very colorful and friendly. Glad to have WiFi. A very nice place in a great location. Staff were very friendly and showed us to our room. A great band on, on the Saturday night. Room, clean and bed very comfy. Plenty of takeaway outlets very close by and some great pubs. the room was on the cold side but I am from the canary islands but the staff put an extra heater in my room. the staff were the best so helpful and really looked after their guests. cosy room, comfortable bed, nice view from window brightly lit bathroom lovely soft white towels,. The room was well equipped and the bed was very comfortable, the bathroom was more than adequate. Rooms were clean and spacious Tea and coffee making facilities Large en suite. Generally doing the best within the dated fabric of the building. We're good at giving us an early breakfast at 7.00 instead of 7.30 which goes a long way when having to be on site early. After researching what a "Full English Breakfast" was on the web prior to our trip, I was disappointed in what was received. Front doors were not user friendly, but understand why they were still in place. Maybe open entry alternative? TV turned on but didn't turn to any channels. We didnt have breakfast as I thought £5 extra per person was a bit much. very good English breakfast but courses served very close together. prefer a little more space. Stairs. The room was described as executive although it was rather basic. It was noisy due to a lack of double glazing but I think it may be a listed building. Secondary glazing may be an idea to block pub closing and traffic from busy road. Needs updating. A litttle run down. Lack of curtains which allowed to much light into room (Blinds only). The bar area. Quite cold room temperatures. The electric heater helped in the rooms but the breakfast room was v. cold. Corridors were dark (lights turned off) in the evening when I checked-in. Ripped carpet, small room, really thin walls, noisy water pipes. Shower's weren't the best with little pressure of water. Noisy at night. Drinkers outside directly beneath our window Bathroom needs updating Weak shower and loose floortiles. Abit tired in places and lacking in atmosphere. There was a step in the bathroom with a loose tile. I slipped when the tile went from under me and I have big bruising on my hip, I am waiting for them to contact me to over componsation. small breakfast. Noisy bar,evening menu choice restricted. The tv kept loosing the channels. The hotel are aware of this but let it continue. The Jacuzzi did not work which was disappointing. The heating was poor. The breakfast was mediocre compared to other hotels we have stayed at. Needs a lot doing to it .Bed side cupboard broken .No lift lots of stairs(my wife is disabled). The bar area was awful lots of rowdy young men play fighting shouting swearing .One was bragging he had a security tag on and had broken his parole.very cold no central heating just a small fire in the room. Tv needed to be retuned everytime you turned it off, couldnt adjust the temperature of shower, no lights on landing made going downstairs dodgy, needs quite a bit of upgrading. The toilets were not very clean and the heating had packed up so we had individual room heaters, which were not very efficient. My son cut his finger on a needle that was being used to hold together the curtain on the window. Would definately never return to this hotel, which was really more an offshoot of a grubby pub. Cob webs in room bedding made my itch only heat in room was an electric heater . Toilet did not work right . Caller gas in breakfast room. The central heating was broken and whilst the rooms were warmed using heaters it was freezing at breakfast and in the bathrooms The rooms were a little scruffy e.g. stained carpets. First room toilet didn't work, next room clean but windows didn't open an tiles loose in bathroom decor very dated an water damage on ceiling. No central heating, feeble electric radiator in room. poor lighting, nearly fell down stairs in the dark. Food not served after 6pm! just a local pub with a few rooms. It was dirty. There was no heating and it was noisy! Never again.
