The excellent ocation and the friendly staff. Our room was also superb, very big and with 2 huge windows overlooking the harbour. Everything was perfect. The room had fantastic views, restaurant was brilliant and staff very pleasant and helpful.Everything you could want from hotel room was right there, clean and pristine. Excellent location, excellent value. Good clean room, nice meal in the evening.

The restaurant was good - wide choice of menu and most of the food was well prepared. Excellent location. The room was very clean,. The windows did not close properly or the seal had perished and wind was coming through the windows as it was an exceptionally windy night. This led to the room being extremely noisy. We would still go back there though.they offered satellite tv but it wasn't available. The fixtures and fittings in the room would benefit from updating and the room was very hot but turning the radiator off solved this minor problem.Room very clean but a bit dated. Like most hotels, the breakfast coffee was unpleasant. A cafetierre would be much nicer than a thermal jug.rooms fine but could do with modernising. Breakfast was advertised as available from 7am. But the staff were not prepared and nothing was moving until 7.30am. No good if you have atrain to catch.We could not eat in the restaurant one evening, due to staffingproblems, but bar meals were available and they were fine. the food was awful - it bills itself as having a "contemporary italian restaurant" and a look at the menu and a look through the door would lull you into a false sense of security. It was quite frankly the worst pizza i have ever had in my whole life. The staff were very apologetic, but my advice would be eat out if you stay here!!. Do you have any plan to have a small shop? I wanted to buy Poole pottery vase for presents back home. The bar was quite poor as they ran out of lager and the coffee machine was broken.When i arrived i could not find a parking place. Planning permitting, it could do with a lick of paint. Very cold and bathroom heating not working. nolisy bedroom floorboards.no air cvonditioning in room.also the weather was atrocious rain, gale force winds,the last day we decided to leave for home,because of weather and plans for trips out abandoned,bit miffed that we had to pay for the room for the night because of cancellation terms stating 2 days prior notice ,it would in future be more prudent to be booking daily instead of inadvance,. No WiFi (not working?) in rooom , bathroom lights failed on our last morning both minor problems. Breakfast service was patchy. Room curtains not properly hung.bar food was poor. We both felt the restaurant let down the hotel. Previously I had heard the restaurant was a 2 AA Rosette facility with a good reputation. I'm afraid I would now liken the restaurant to a high street 'Bella Pasta'. Evening meal was average. The staff were very poor - hardly a welcome at all, poor service and attitude. Hotel was too hot inside, no air conditioning and few windows to open. Some food was not well cooked - had to be sent back.Wireless internet did not work, not good for business traveler. Very poor shower and breakd=fast service was poor and quality not great.
