The staff were very friendly and were very helpful with any queries we had. It was a nice to be able to park in as safe area for such a cheap price. The room was very clean and comfortable. The hotel was close to amenities. We had a great time. Everthing to make our stay memorable, including the helpfulness of staff, accomodation, food and value for money. I would like to point out that the bathroom was outstanding in cleanliness and a credit to the hotel.

Every member of staff encountered, from management to cleaning were very welcoming, friendly and helpful. room clean, comfortable and pleasant.The breakfast was very good nd the service excellent. The room wqa very spacious. the staff were very helpful and friendly, nothing was too much trouble.bedroom and bathroom were very clean, lovely food and exelant service. Location was great as attending pavillions - helpful and friendly staff. Pleasant staff, comfortable room, good breakfast and no hassle. Comfortable and warm and service was good. Good location. the comfort of the room and decor....the rooms are in the process of being updated. Excellent location with town centre and The Hoe within walking distance. We were going to the Pavillions to watch a band so it was very convenient and also close to bars and restaurants. My room and that as a single person I was able to have a double, nice room without extreme tarrif. the leisure complex looked nice, unfortually had no time to go. Use of the gym and pool facilities. This is how hotels used to be with personal service and good quality food. How nice to choose from a menu and have your order custom prepared. A hotel without pretensions prioritising service and good food. How refreshing!. The staff were incredibly helpful, very friendly and polite. Our room was a very good size and included everything we needed. For breakfast there was a good few options to choose from.Very clean and generally pleasant. The room had a hairdryer and a trouser press which were useful. very friendly staff- hotel was very central for nightlife shops and places of interest. Friendly, helpful but not overpowering staff. Closeness to theatres and city shops. health club, close to city center. Convenience to city and theatre. Own fitness club and swimming pool etc. Easy parking at minimal cost. The staff were polite, friendly and helpful. The breakfast was a happy mixture of buffet and table order for cooked breafasts.Nearness to City Centre. Friendly Staff. Helpfulness of reception Staff. Breakfast was good too. Use of leisure facilities, convenient for shopping centre, Hoe etc. The locality to the city and sightes and it's value for money. The noise from Weatherspoons on both nights till 5.00am would request a room out the back when we come again. Also the heat in the room was unbearable.My only complaint was that the rooms at the front suffer from noise at night by 'boy racers' but I believe the hotel has contacted the police over this problem and it is being solved by humps being placed on the road. Wanted a cup of coffee from bar in the evening but was told this was not available. Bar area could have been brighter with some pictures ?. It is not that we did not like, but understand that some parts of the hotel are in need of refurbishment, but cannot fault the hotel on this case, as we are sure updating the decor is an ongoing process.As your right in the centre there is a lot of noise from outside. Bathroom could be cleaner. Difficulty in finding entrance to car park. prehaps recetption area could be redecorated....looked sad compared with our room. Noise from boy racers at night. The room was very hot and with window open too noisy to sleep. I thought the entrance/reception area could benefit from a more modern/updated look. decor was a bit dated and tatty in places. room very hot . Shower was not very powerful. breakfast was only warm and not hot. Reception area could do with a revamp but the room we stayed in had been reavampd to a high standard. The decor was very tired and dated and in need of considerable refurbishment, although I believe that this was about to be actioned within the next couple of months. Also another entrance for party guests would have been useful as one had to fight through gathered smokers in the evening to get into reception.Although the shower was lovely and modern, the water pressure wasn't very strong. Very cold restaurant for breakfast. to expencive, have stayed there for 25 % less in the past. Whilst the bedrooms were recently refurbished and of good standard, the reception/dining/bar etc on the ground floor were in need of decoration and recarpeting. However, we enjoyed our stay. Thank you.The same boring evening meal menu every night even though we only had one as the Steak was tough. Room wa superb but public areas, lobbies etc could do with some tlc.
