We spent 3 magnificent days at Common barn farm, enjoying walks in the fields around. The hotel was very comfortable and cosy, we were surprised by having a bath (not just a shower cabin) in our room. We liked the variety of meals for breakfast and it was delicious. There were lots of information materials about the district, the owner gave us a map of surroundings as well, and helped a lot with tips on the further travel. We felt very welcome at Common Barn Farm. Thank you!.

Common Barn Farm was a real home away from home!! It was in a lovely peaceful (and beautiful) location and Rona couldn't do enough to make us feel welcome and meet our needs. It is also well located for access to the Peak District - 5/5.
A Rustic farm situated in a beautiful location. The owner is lovely, very friendly and treats you to a well cooked breakfast. There are some nice pubs in the surrounding villages to eat and great walks to go on. Definately reccomend.
Quiet, isolated farm environment set in beautiful scenery with excellent accommodation. We were made very welcome by Rona, the hostess, who also prepared the wonderful farmhouse breakfasts.
Stayed one night visting friends made very welcome great breakfast and just before we left witnessed a lamb being born. The room was modern well decorated and spacious. Well worth a visit.

Lovely country escape, set in the gorgeous Peak district with lovely eateries very close by. Breakast was hearty and the view from our windows was great. Highly recommend!.

Lovely place to stay, great room, fantastic breakfast, and to top it all, we got to see a lamb being born! The kids loved it. Would definitely stay again.
We like that there were animals on the farm cause the kids enjoyed seeing them,It was nice and quiet and very nice country side.And very friendly.

bed was too hard for me. couldn't switch heating off at night despite turning thermostat off so bedroom was very warm.
We didn't mind as we don't eat cooked breakfast but no cooked breakfast until 7.30am but as we had to leave by 7.30 it was not possible. So we had to help ourselves to breakfast which was fine for us! And see ourselves out!.
