The location is superbe, with magnificent views from our room, the dining room, lounge and terrace. The staff were most attentive and helpful, and we enjoyed the food. Lynton is a great base to explore Exmoor,and the hotel is easy to find and beautifully placed to walk the towns of Lynton and Lynmouth. Staff very welcoming, attentive and friendly. Fabulous views across the sea from the room and also the bar, restaurant etc. The dining room is very comfortable and food was excellent. Facilities in the room very good, plenty of space, shower good Very quiet. Would definitely go back again.
所有评语 » We were late arriving due to a flight delay but this was no problem as a kind lady waited up for us. the room was beautiful, the sea view, exactly that.Breakfast was a delight and a surprise as it catered to gluten free. The staff were all really friendly. well worth a visit. The location of the hotel is stunning. The view must be the most beautiful the eye could see. Recommended for getting away from the life stress. The staff so friendly. The breakfast is very good. Everything in the village around within short walk. Do not miss it. Very friendly and attentive staff, excellent Sanfords Restaurant, superbly run by the young couple who were extremely welcoming. Comfortable room with great views, Nice bathroom with shower. All in all probably the best Hotel of its type we have stayed in. Very welcoming and helpful staff.We liked the spacious room with sea view and bathroom. The food was good and presented well. the location is fantastic.We were walking some of the coast path and it was a lovely end to our walk to stay there. All the staff were friendly and keen to help with any request. The room was clean, well furnished and the bed was COMFORTABLE!! Food was great (dinner and breakfast). Good sized car park, plenty of room to relax in the lounge or bar. The views were stunning. Looking across the Bristol Channel to Wales.The food was excellent, the restaurant was light ,clean, and airy, looking out towards the sea as you eat your meal.The staff were very friendly and very helpful. Obvious: the view from the hotel is the greatest plus. Well-groomed interieur and terrace. To enjoy some days of recovery and silence it is a very nice place to stay next to a calm village in an extraordinary beautiful area. We understand that the hotel is in new ownership - a recent change - and that the new owner was working flat out on the decor, which was a little sparce in places - our room badly needed a mirror - No. 19. The bed was far too soft, but this is probably a matter of personal preference. There was nothing to dislike, I would strongly recommend this hotel. Nothing. Thought the public room in the bar area could do with a bit of decorating, and it would be a good idea to either replace pictures which have been taken down or take the hooks out. The hotel needs decorating on the outside. Would have used the communal areas if a fire had been lit. That's the only negative, but not a major one as there was plenty of room and comfy chairs in our room to use for relaxation. If you are limited mobility this isn't the hotel for you, we were on the 2nd floor and the stairs were a killer but that is the only thing. If you wish to have wireless lan in the room you will be disappointed - not available. Bar room not very cosy. If you expect (following the impression of the description) to stay at a high professional first class accomodation you might be slightly disappointed as well. But the new owner tries to do his best. We were not aware the hotel was been refurbished when we done the booking if we did we would not have stayed however apart from having to go around a ladder once in the hallway it didn't cause us much problems. Limited bar facilities serving a wide range of spirits but only bottled beers. There were other facilities very nearby however, so not really a problem. Nothing. There was nothing we did not like All was great. Low pressure of shower water (being addressed by hotelier, as we were lucky enough to stay in room with new bathroom). Very narrow, steep stairs to the guest rooms may be a challenge for some people. Having to leave. Narrow stairwells. Steep stairs Steep walk to town Dinner served really early Town was very quiet in the evening not a lot of choice of places to eat. That we only stayed one night. Wish we stayed longer. Nothing. Not a case of not liking as such but the hotel was undergoing refurbishment which meant no evening restaurant, restricted bar facilities. Some small works required in our room. All of which were being undertaken and when complete will tick all the boxes. No complaints. very soft mattress, slightly outdated. We only saw two (active) members of staff during our stay. They seemed a bit overworked (but were really outgoing) and could have done with some additional support (e.g. in the bar). Didn't really spoil the stay though. Nothing!. Steep access to hotel, and old-fashioned high riser stairs within hotel. Hotel undergoing refurbishment so some areas are a bit run down, but it will be fantastic when they have finished all the rooms. It was raining!!. Nothing. The weather!!. Standard rooms are a little small. Creaky floorboards, taps on sink in en-suite bathroom were difficult to turn on & off & bidet was out of use. Nothing. We had no issues but it would be good to have wi-fi in the rooms. could do with updating the bathroom and full view mirrors in the rooms.
