Fantastic quality of this hotel, the new accomodation combined with the vintage charm of the old golf resort creates a place with atmosphere and salubrious guest facilities. The food was exceptional, either al a carte or the traditional fayre in the club bar. Incredibly friendly staff, only to happy to help, all the qualities of a well structured and managed private resort hotel. Less than 10 miutes from the M6 allows great accessibility but far enough from the noise etc. Fantastic views acr.
所有评语 » Our room was a good size and very comfortable. The food served in the Golf members bar was lovely, as was the breakfast in the main hotel, which had plenty of choice. The spa facilities were very good, with lovely surroundings. The staff throughout the hotel and in the spa were very friendly and very helpful. We would definitely return for another stay and would recommend you to all our friends. The mere hotel is absolutely beautiful. Our room was spacious and luxurious. We liked the little extras in the room such as the bath robes, slippers and the meerkat! The all you can eat breakfast was superb. The staff were friendly, attentive and professional at all times. Thank you for a memorable stay. The service was great and everything taken care of if you had a request. Like being in a good hotel in the Far East where everything is run around the customer. You got it right. Very clean, excellent food and I will be taking a golf break here very soon due to my experience. Thanks you. We liked the setting and luxury of the hotel. The room was very comfortable & had everything we needed plus it was cool on a hot day. The spa was calming and relaxing. We had a light lunch and an evening meal on the veranda outside which was all excellent quality. I enjoyed eating out in the terrace and the staff were extremely pleasant particularly the concierge the following morning when assisting me with getting a taxi PS best steak and salad I have eaten for a while - and its one of my staple diet dishes. we liked our whole experience,it was our daughters wedding reception and we could not have wished for better service or a better place to hold it, so thank you and we were very pleased with our room. Turned out we really enjoyed the Hotel and have found a 'wee smasher' will be returning for a full weekend. The Mere's staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel was superb and excellent value for money. I would highly recommend this hotel for a weekend break and it is also very close to the airport. Every tiny detail was perfect - utterly faultless. Not one even minor issue with cleanliness, maintenance, staffing, food anything. And Im a picky person! The best hotel I have ever stayed in. Staff were fantastic. Food was excellent. Room was very nicely furnished. Golf course looked inviting but came for tennis at Bowden so couldn't play but practice facilities excellent. Well kept rooms, nice sports bar, lovely bathroom & bath, large tv in bedroom, gown & slippers provided, Sky sports on tv in bedroom, lovely swimming pool/spa. I liked everything but the staff were the most friendly & helpful you are only as good as your frontline and this hotel won. the best stay . I can't think of anything other than pulling out on the the A 556!. Our only criticism was the service for the evening meal. We did eventually go inside and order our own meal at the bar. The young waiters/waitresses were very polite and courteous but organisation seemed to be lacking. The restaurant area lacks a bit of character Some staff were very slow and hesitant to serve (eg room service at 22.45 when it was supposed to be on until 23.00), the girl at the bar in the Club Lounge was quite slow and took ages to do our drinks - whilst the young man who served them seemed to be doing everything from room service and this lounge etc. - there were actually some guests really rudely complaining which was a few steps too far and too rude but they did have a point... We waited for 20 minutes for a highchair at breakfast time- the staff didn't know where they were. One of the waitresses at breakfast was dangerous. Despite being asked not to, she held hot items over our toddler's head on several occasions, once almost spilling hot coffee over him. For the first time ever - nothing!. Room was very noisy. Group of women coming to bed late were very loud. Breakfast ran out of eggs and hash browns and took some time to replenish. Nothing. Staff were a little over attentive in the sports bar - kept asking if we wanted drinks/something to eat - it became a nuisance rather than good service. nothing was not to like. Refreshing of rooms done a little late in the day after first night - not a serious problem but would have preferred this done between 11am - 2pm. heaters went out at 11 by the club bar!. Cobwebs over chairs on balcony (but it is a hot summer in countryside surroundings); a few hairs (belonging to a previous occupant?) - sited on tiles in ensuite bathroom next to towel rail, and on RHS of spread over duvet cover towards the pillows. Attended a function and sound quality of event presenter was very poor. Hard to find entrance to the Hotel from main road - not well sign posted. No bath, would have liked to have been given a choice. The buffet breakfast .. I ordered from the menu and had eggs benedicte which was not to high standard you expect when paying those high prices for one night stay . Service was a little slow in the Club House bar for evening food and at breakfast in the morning. The robes provided in both the spa and the rooms were old and ragged. Spa being separate from hotel. I dont think there is anything i didnt like. Really difficult to find in the dark. I should have checked directions on the website first!. Food in golf bar was expensive and not of the quality expected. However, manager dealt with problem promptly and to our satisfaction. Can not think of anything. dinner service very slow, breakfast cold food, staff not very observant in what was required or going on at breakfast. Having to go outside to get to the clubhouse bar is not good. Also, I think the management should have shops; boutique, sportswear, jewellery, gifts. That would add to the destination experience and would prove popular. Breakfast was tepid. Entrance to the hotel not easy from the main road. Browns restaurant not very private as it is located in the lobby. nothing. N/A. difficult to find hotel, as it sits at crossroads - not what your looking for as its a golf course. The main entrance of the resort is close to a set of traffic lights and could be missed.
