The hotel was warm and friendly and the room was clean comfortable. My evening meal was very tasty and I was very happy with the breakfast. Also it was great to be right opposite the famous ironbridge. the bed the breakfast the accessability the view from the window was brilliant we had a view looking straight across at the ironbridge and the river and trees. Fantastic location, had lots of character especially the wagon wheel seats in the breakfast room, and the old fireplaces dotted around.

A lot of potential as estate agents would say.Good value. Quiet. This could be a fabulous B&B if it was refurbished n decorated as location is great .. Friendly staff and good location. I wanted to try the carvery but I had missed it by a day as I arrived on the Thursday and the carvery is served on a Wednesday. I have heard great things about the carvery. not much except it could benefit from a coat of paint in the rooms. Needs a good spruce up, including carpets, decor, etc. Very basic breakfast. Room was very cold until the heating came on in the evening. More of a pub with rooms rather than a hotel. Décor a little 'tired'. food a bit average, but typical for what we have come to expect from a pub unfortunately, room for improvement here. Dated decor. Share bathroom. Only bbc chanels on the telly. We filled in the online special request section and asked for a quiet room. We got one on first floor on road and above the main door and bar. We had to listen to smokers outside until closing time and then drunks waiting until 1am for taxis( right under our window). loved it all. Gloomy bar. Greasy smell pervading stairwell. Communal areas would benefit from good clean and fresh paint/carpets. Faux-4 poster bed was just irritating - took up too much room, blocked the view. Rather alarmed by extensive list of objects which we were requested not to flush down the lavatory - does this mean that previous guests have disposed of their syringes, needles etc. in this way?. The hotel is a bit faded to be kind. A bath which is ok but no shower, which is a lot quicker. dark room,no view,needs refurb. No hot water in room at 9am Given breakfast and abandoned Hotel tired and musty Very basic and small breakfast. Breakfast not supplied early enough. Clientele leaves a lot to be desired in the bar. Fixtures and fittings in rooms were very dated Shared bathroom on the 2nd floor wasn't ideal. As a whole this is very run down and in need of decoration. Wanted evening meal and although they did food, the bar was not inviting, not a place women would want to go. Disappointed at no shower in the bathroom. At breakfast had to make our own tea and coffee. Hotel in need of repair and modernisation. No parking at hotel only in nearby play and display for which free pass is provided. Food , very average. Fire precautions below par ie fire doors wedged open. No where to sit and relax other than in the ground floor pub. Not very inspiring.
