Great hostel with great and welcoming staff! Especially the blonde girl working the afternoon shifts, she was so helpful, polite and always smiling. The guest kitchen and the dorm room were very nice and clean, and the location was good (a nice little walk to the centre of the city). All in all our stay was absolutely super and we'll definitely recommend this hostel! Thank you!. Staff where so Friendly & helpful, They really go the extra mile to make sure you enjoy stay. The Hostel architecture alone is worth a visit, this is the most Beautiful building that I have had the pleasure to stay in, while in Scotland. Also 100's of car parking spaces everywhere around the hostel. 10 out of 10 from me.
所有评语 » It's just a beautiful building - wooden staircase, Mackintosh designs, great large rooms including the lounge room with the comfiest sofas, and the tv room which is comforting and relaxing. And the lighting - great big chandelier in the lounge room and atmospheric ones in the tv room. + nice self catering space too. It was a great place to stay for us as a family meeting another family. We liked the fact the children had places to go in the hostel as well as the chance to make our own breakfasts and other snacks. We had a two bed room excellent value . We ate an evening meal which was excellent. The site is magnificant. The staff friendly and competent. I don't know why anyone would go anywhere else ..... - the fact that you can cook your meals yourself if you like, but that there's also a breakfast & dinner service as well. - the drying & washing facilities. -the quiet place. The staff were very helpful,cheerful and well informed. Beautiful location, only a short walk to Kelvingrove Museum. It was well heated and had pleasant lounge and TV room. Ideal location for getting to all parts of the city. Beautiful building with wood panelling and hogwarts appeal for the children. Very family friendly. The staff were extremely friendly. Although we only stayed one night we could have stayed for longer. Great value for money. Nice area it is in, after driving round in circles before findind it. A couple of more signs on the roads would be useful. We booked the flat for a gig at Glasgow Green (4miles away). Cheap and cheerful, loads of space and very helpful staff. Located in a quite neighbour, clean and comfortable. Staff very helpful. Very good rate quality/price. This hostel is in nice, rich neighbourhood, in old house with high celing. Nearby is huge park and the nature is amazing. It was good value, clean and safe atmosphere. It is great really. Except internet codes didn't always work. We were next to a room for eight people and the wall was very thin, so it was a bit noisy at times. The weather on arriving !. - that the windows can not be open. -that there's no (oxfam) coffee machine available. The youth hostel would benefit from redecorating and general cosmetic improvements but still offered good value for money. Location not easy to find out. Had to pay for wifi. No free wi-fi. More power points to help charge up media would have been good. Bunk level lighting like at the Edinburgh hostel. Nothing . nothing!. Poorly equipped self-catering kitchen (being able to cook our own meals is own reason why we use YHs - this one presented some challenges, with items such as serving spoons, measuring jugs absent). The shower was warm and had no pressure, but luckily we had friends staying in another room who had a good shower and let us borrow!. En suite bathroom didn't have a door. Didn't have free wi-fi. could have done with a lift. as i find stairs hard and i ended up on the 3rd floor. Radiator very noisy in our room even when turned off which meant our sleep was disturbed. The pipelines are old and the whole house should be renovated. We had an awfull smell of staleness in bathroom because of this. Having to pay for breakfast - every other independent hostel offers a basic breakfast as part of your stay. YHA and SYHA need to keep up and offer the same. The food was overpriced - you could go to a nice café and eat cheaper and nicer. The location of the hostel is a drawback - it's very tucked away and I got lost several times trying to find it. It is a cross between a Library & an old peoples' home. a little bit far to railway station.
