Really comfortable rooms and beds. The hotel had a really relaxing atmosphere and all the staff were smart and polite. The Bisque bistro in the hotel was a really great place to eat. The food and service was excellent and good value for money. It was good to have on site parking and the hotel looked out onto a very pleasant green. The room was comfortable - the air condtioning effective and the linen fresh. The breakfast was superb. The food in the restaurant was excellent, with normal prices.

An excellent hotel very conveniently situated for Edinburgh city but in a pleasant suburb. Has the character that is not always apparent in bigger chain hotels.Staff were efficient and friendly. Good location on regular bus route to town and opposite Bruntsfield Links. Rooms spacious and comfortable. Good breakfast. What a lovely room I had. !! I have made a note of it's number, for next time. I'll come when it is free............Have stayed here on numerous occasions and are always very happy with hotel, especially the breakfast. Lovely room overlooking the park. Rec'd a complimentary upgrade.Good restaurant for evening meal. Excellent service, complimentary room upgrade, good food - in all a very enjoyable holiday. I will spread the word amongst my friends and colleagues well done!. We had a nice quiet room at the rear of the hotel, away from trafficnoise, overlooking gardens and greenery. The room was a reasonable sizeand had extra bedding if necessary. Also, a very welcome electric fanfor nightime. A really wonderful cooked breakfast was also included inthe price - a great way to start your day!. the room was very well appointed-very spacious and the bed was excellent-duvet of good quality.Breakfast enjoyed by all with friendly and attentive staff. The room was very comfortable with a huge bed, although we had to request a different room from the one allocated as the bed was too small. We had stayed at the hotel before ut not eaten there - would look no further now. Toilet paper was 1ply!! Otherwise absolutely great place to stay!. Just one small point. I had a poached egg for Breakfast, but oh dear me, the vinegar !! In spite of drinking water as advised, I had the taste in a dry mouth all day. Better luck next time. Lack of parking at the hotel. thought you could have put a few more cartons of milk on the tea tray. The service as breakfast was a little reluctant - perhaps the staff were tired.The reception staff had me down as coming from Amsterdam rather than Aberdeenshire so that took a bit of unravelling.No, I was quite pleased with everything. The lift was very slow - so we mostly took the stairs.Do not expect a full english breakfast as we have in the UK but it was varied and something for every one. the standard of the toilet paper it could be a little softer. The only minor things and they are minor was during the day the music in the bar was too loud to talk over. yes they had a mix up with keys and a guest walked into our room as i was sitting there. lack of parking. standard of breakfast food - poor. Everything was generally very good. the only negative thing was that we had a bed that was 2 singles joined together. although spacious, the seam of the beds was very uncomfortable during the night.
