When staying in Doncaster I have stayed at a number of hotels, this visit I decided I need to be money savey so I made the decision to go budget, I didn't care about all the luxuries I just wanted a bed for the night, I read the reviews about this place being in the red light district and thought sod it I wanted cheap accommodation I got it.. 所有评语 » Janet the host was lovely, willing to help in any way possible. We forgot toothpaste and face wipes but she was on hand to help. Breakfast was exactly how we wanted it and she went above and beyond to help us with anything we needed. We were worried about the shared bathroom but it wasn't bad at all, we didnt see another person use it, and there are actually 2 toilets and a sink in our room so you could still bath/shower without worrying about keeping people waiting. Less than a mile from the . The Balmoral is in a very convenient location to my Mum's house, so we have stayed on several occasions. It is also convenient for the hospital, town centre and racecourse. Janet was welcoming and friendly, as always (Paul and Nadia usually seem to be away when we visit!). We didn't need breakfast, just a base for a couple of nights and for this, the facilities (including en-suite) are excellent. It was useful to find a slightly cheaper price via letsbookhotel.com. We'll be back at Christmas, n. Land lady like a mother hen at breakfast-plkying us with lots of food. Allowed to come and go as we pleased. For me it was in an ideal position as I was attending a funeral and it was just a short walk from my families house. Also in an ideal position for me to explore Doncaster, as being born and bred there I was catching up as it has been 40 years since I was last here. Really warm welcome and friendly atmosphere. We were allocated the wrong room as our booking was received too late but this wasn't a problem as our given room was sufficient to our needs. Everything is what you would expect for the price and is enhanced by the local hospitality. I'd give Doncaster a chance if you've never been. I was here 2 weeks ago so I can only repeat that I have wrote-excellent hospitality, wonderful stuff and nice cute & comfortable hotel. It's only about 1 mile from Frenchgate Interchange and city center by walk, quiet place, also there is a bus stop near hotel. The hosts were fantastic. Paul and Janet were very forthcoming. Facilities were good. Was attending an interview and they gave me a lot about the local picture. Went out of their way to keep me comfortable. Will definitely recommend and revisit for sure. Nice family run B&B, Had a good welcome from the Proprietor and nothing was too much trouble. Went out of is way to tell us directions for a local wmc. Enjoyed the stay and can recommend it for the location and good breakfast in the morning!. Home from home! The staff were very friendly and accommodating! The rooms were bright and clean! We got lost in Doncaster & had to call Paul for directions so arrived a bit later than planned but Paul was there to give a hand with our cases. The breakfast was excellent. The owner was very nice. The room was great and the breakfast was fantastic. Breakfast was in a beautifully kept dining room with lots of antiques. Unfortunately, this visit was in very warm weather and we needed to leave the window open overnight. As our room was on the main road, and it was a bank holiday weekend, there was quite a lot of traffic noise, which we are not used to. We've usually been there in the colder months and noise then isn't an issue. Unfortunately not ensuite but apart from that I could'nt fault it. Bath appears to be exchanged for a shower. This appears to be a national strategy to reduce water usage and therefore save costs. A shame as a bath makes a difference for a weary traveller. Nothing. Nothing. There was nothing we didn't like. The owner was not present when we arrived, and a friend checked us in. She was not sure about the password for the internet. nothing. A 15 minutes walk to the town center but I didn't mind. Room was a bit noisy from traffic. not having an on suite toilet/shower. stay was too short. The location is on a main route but this doesn't detract from the excellence of this guest house. no curtains in bed room 2. None. Satnav always gives wrong direction to the hotel, I do not know how it can be sorted out but may be more details about the location. Noisy road and window that did not shut.
