The staff were great, very friendly. The accommodation was lovely, more than we expected. The beds were very comfy and the en-suite bathrooms were perfect after a day at the beach. A very relaxing place with lots of privacy. The breakfast in the morning was amazing. The cook came out and shared a joke with the kids. There was more food and drink than we could eat and they cooked it early for us as we had to get away early.
所有评语 » We had private, off-road parking. The bedroom/bathroom were clean & very comfortable. We had a private lounge/kitchen area which was lovely. We had our own front door key, so we could leave without disturbing anyone else (we left quite early). Lovely spacious rooms with really large, comfortable bed and good bathroom. Excellent breakfast. Allowed the dog as well but charged £5 extra which I thought was more than fair. We stayed in an annex close to the main house. As it had been recently refurbished it was really lovely, clean and new. Everyone working there was most pleasant and helpful. An excellent location with friendly staff and good breakfasts. Our room had its own sitting room and kitchenette and as we were there for a week made it more comfortable. Extremely friendly and helpfull staff, we had room 7 which was very clean and comfortable and looked vary new. Breakfast was fabulous.All in all an excellent stay. Lovely old building and full of charactor. Location in quiet riverside country. Handy for meals in town 10 minutes away and beaches 20 minutes away. Friendly staff. We realise it was a holiday weekend but our booking was made some time ago and we expected better. The weather was hot and the old stone walls kept us cool. Comfortable bed, nice thick towels and a shower that worked well. Nice views. Size of room Mini kitchen - ideal to microwave a snack. Warm welcome- allowed us to check in early so we could dump our big ruck sack. The full english breakfast was good. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The views , the welcome and the breakfast were great. House was interesting. Comfortable and clean. Cooker & fridge. There was a cleaning charge for the kitchen so we didn't use it because of that. The fridge and freezer were out of action as the previous occupants had left it open. Can't think of anything at all. The bathroom was a little cramped as the most had been made of the space available but it didn't detract from our stay. Could have done with a mirror in the bedroom although there were 2 in the lovely bathroom. Nothing. Pity no evening meals catered for. Double bed too soft. We had corner sink in bathroom (room 6), was very small, difficult to wash your face/ brush your teeth. £5 extra on your bill if you use the kitchenette (we didn't) Cold draught from the door at the bottom of the stairs. Nothing. Nothing about the accommodation however the only restaurant recommended by the proprietor for dining in the local town, Dolgellau, was aligned/connected with Dolgun Uchaf - a matter not mentioned when the recommendation was made.The waitress from the restaurant the night before appeared to be working at Dolgun Uchaf the next morning. The recommended restaurant, y Sospan, was of very ordinary quality. Fumes from an oil fired boiler spoilt our night's rest. Nothing not to like. Hard to locate. Nothing. The toilet cistern leaked in our room. 16 miles away from the venue we needed to be. Difficult, dark road at night time. Work on the road too. Nothing, really. Non operating extractor fan in bathroom. nothing. n/a. The breakfast was mediocre and the dining room cramped. Mini kitchen had a sink but no clothes or washing up liquid. Tv kept cutting out. Room needed checking better - bulbs out etc. We had booked four rooms and in two of them the bed covers were full of stains. We told the staff and although they said they were sorry and would change everything , the same dirty cover was on the bed again when we returned. Then the next day they changed everything and my sister had some chocolate as an excuse on her bed. We didnt like being in a room that had such thin walls! We had to lay in bed listening to the couple next door showering and using the toilet in the middle of the night , it was awful, especially as the male occupant obviously had an upset stomach! Gross. We did comment on this before leaving but the member of staff didnt know what to say. This turned out to be a camping ground. The view was over tents to the road. Room was over the office, so very noisy with campers booking in. Dining room too small, tables close together and too small. overpriced. Dark room (Just 2 low energy bulbs) On ground floor with direct entry into room.
