Could not fault it for lovely staff, fantastic food, value for money, room was great although a little too much furniture for the size of room, lovely view of the gold course from the furnished terrace (bit cold to sit out in December ha!!) comfy bed and really slept well and unlike most hotels the room was not too hot so you could not sleep!! I booked the hotel for me and my husband and 2 other couples for my birthday and it was the best!!!!.

Bed was very comfortable. the room I stayed in was in one of the lodges- a very short walk away from the main hotel- they are single-floor, chalet style and are very quiet. Excellent buffet breakfast with a very wide variety of choice. the food was excerlent and well presented staff were very helpful we had a room overlooking the golf coures witch was perfect we were only their for one night as it was my wifes birthday and anerversery but i would recomend it to any one thank you to all the staff. We stayed in one of the Lodges which was very comfortable and quiet. Really good breakfast and friendly cellar bar. Really perfect as we were exhibiting at the NEC and some wanted peace and quiet and some wanted to spend time in the lively bar/restaurant. My husband and I were driving quite a distance and arrived at 9pm. Staff were friendly and welcoming and we were still able to order a meal and enjoy refreshments. Rooms clean and very comfortable. Beautiful grounds. The lady on reception was extremely friendly and polite. Car parking facilities were very safe. The room was clean and comfortable and a lovely shower. Breakfast was a delight and taken over looking beautiful views. Hotel room was clean very comfortable . Staff were all helpful and friendly. Pool was good. Bar was good for food reasonably priced. Hotel really convenient for NEC Birmingham. Would definitely stay again,. Ideal location nice sauna & steam room rooms nice bar staff very friendly and most helpfull even remembered us from last year. lovely grounds well kept. reception staff most helpfull. Only problem, but this is the same in even the top hotels, walls were a little thin. Room was a bit warm- no air conditioning. Food was overpriced for evening meal. their was just a couple of things witch i thought may inprove the hotel that i came across the main entrance had steps but no disable rails for guests as my wife as difeculty getting up steps with out a rail to support her as i was their it was ok in the room at night it got very hot we could not leave the french windows open for it would have felt unsafe it needs a small vent in the top of the window to let the air in i hope you find my coments worthwile. A bit of a trek to get to the main hotel for breakfast (could be a problem in bad weather) but this was offset by the comfort of the lodge. The roadway to the lodges was very potholed and as the hotel is on a duel carriageway it takes quite a long time to get back to travel in Coventry direction although Birmingham direction was easy. Nothing. Couldn't get down to sit by the pond. Water in the pool was cold. It would have been nice to have a different menu to choose from in the resturant, as we ended up eating in the bar area, food nice but a bigger choice would have been appreciated. Rooms were a bit cold ( bathroom). Very difficult to find and the phone number on my booking form was incorrect to get directions as the satnav could not find it from the post code and there was no street number. Club sandwich was cold and soggy. The heated towel rail did not work. Nothing!. No air con in the room. Got a bit stuffy. The waiting staff at breakfast did not engage. With us.(Language barrier) cab service slow on concert nights. Book an hour before you really need cab. Price of beer. The room was described asa superior double room, but was a bit small. Long route by car to turn around direction on the road. Smaller room than expected, bed small for an hotel bed, difficulty at check in because designated room was actually already occupied. no hot water for bath at 6pm 1/2hr wait for starter in restaurant with only 2 other diners. We paid for a family room but was put in a double room with an extra bed in it. Only two bar staff on when we arrived when they new they had two weddings and a golf tournament that day and run out of pint glasses. Breakfast was cold and greasy. the lack of parking near the front door with no designated dropping off or unloading area for guests. I got wet through loading up the car when I was going to a meeting that morning. the state of the access roads are very poor and don't give a good last impression when leaving the hotel. and to get to Coventry is a 6 mile detour due to the dual carriageway which I wasn't aware of the issue. The room TV was not working at all and the toilet flush/water system was not working properly either. The address for the hotel has no property number and Birmingham road is very long, struggled to find the place as we travelled from Birmingham. The room was described as superior. It was clean and comfortable and good value, however I would have described the room as standard. There were three wedding receptions whilst we were there which, at certain times impacted on use of the bar area. Bed was very soft. The only thing I can think of is I had to put bread through the toaster twice.......... ;). the size of the room once a small child's bed was in in place. Nothing, every thing was great. Unfortunately I was booked in for the wrong night and was initially down as a 'no show'. This was soon resolved with the hotel blaming letsbookhotel.com! The major disappointment was the fact that there were two hand pumps on the bar but no real-ale available!. although the room (18) we had was excellent, the walk to the main hotel we found wasnt well lit. Restaurant not as good as the hotel. Lighting in room a bit poor. Had to wait for breakfast items to be presented in buffet style (I was not down for breakfast at the start either) I witnessed a golfer who came to the bar at 3-4 mins past 10 having just used the facilities to be told that he could only eat if he went to his roon and ordered room service, seemed very little flexibility. The swimming pool area was not very clean and pool side was very slippery. our room was situated on 3d floor-no lift access via an area of renovation. on a dual carridge way so sat nav very handy for quickest route back after day out. initial booking of Superior room didn't happen, asked to be moved staff did so so then happy. Did asked for shower facilites but bath , having hip replacement was a struggle but managed. Too much in room so not enough space.No air conditioning.Had to wait til tables cleared for breakfast. Not very good for disabled people with wheelchairs .no ramps .had to rely on friends to carry my wheelchair down and up steps. Should have some ramps or lifts in the hotel.so very disappointed.in that. Non air-conditioned rooms Driveway needs to be resurfaced.
