I stayed at the Avon Causeway due to my lack of organisation and the designated hotel for a friends wedding was full. I'm glad it was. The staff were friendly, the room generously sized and with 'proper coffee' available. Unfortunately I did not sample the dinner menu due to rejoining the wedding party, but it looked fantastic. If the quality was anything like breakfast I'm sorry to have missed it. Having breakfast on a train was just brilliant, very unique. Recommend.
所有评语 » Had a wedding to attend in christchurch, so just looked for a reasonable priced place to stay. We were very impressed, it is the old Hurn Railway station and breakfast was served in the pullman carriage, it was lovely. Very clean comfortable pub, with lovely beer garden and very good food, wished we could have stayed longer. Yes, the bed side lights had no bulbs and the shower tiles could do with regrouting. However, the coffee percolator, plenty of towels, wonderful cosy room, plus selection of toiletries more than made up for that! Excellent value for money-and the food for a pub was lovely. Was such a good surprise! Will stay again!. Staff were all very helpful ,we were taken to our room when we had booked in.We had an evening meal which was excellent the steak and duck cooked to perfection.Breakfast was in the old train carriage very novel,lots of choice and lovely food yet again.We loved are stay and will be returning. Pleasant well run pub/hotel, and very convenient for Bournemouth Airport (about 5 mins). Comfortable room. Manager was very friendly and offered early breakfast tray (we had to leave at 'stupid o clock' for our flight). Would also be handy for Bournemouth and the New Forest. Being shown to the room at check in was good. The bedroom and bathroom were lovely. Fab 4 poster bed which was spacious and comfortable. Shower was hot and powerful, just as you'd expect. Breakfast in train was novel, but that was the only good thing about breakfast. The photos don't do it justice. I found it far nicer than what I was expecting. I also loved the train restaurant which was an extra special touch to breakfast. The room was alot bigger than expected and very clean. A very enjoyable and comfortable stay indeed. It was my first stay and it was a good experience (I'm a grumpy old man and don't normally have good experiences at Bournemouth area hotels). The General Manager was welcoming and showed me to my room. I'll be staying there again. The staff were first class and nothing seemed too much trouble. The comfort was outstanding and the little extras in the room were amazing. Excellent value for money and I will certainly be looking to use this hotel again,. great food,prompt and friendly service and very clean - I didn't feel the need to get the disinfectant wipes out. ps. loved breakfast on the train - novel anddelicious. Food was very good in the bar in the evening with entertainment. The breakfast in the Pullman coach was very nice. The room was nice and warm and inviting. Nice modern room, nice touches, cafetiere, 2 easy chairs, Pullman train carriage used for meals and a lovely wood burning stove in the snug. Hotel team very welcoming and helpful as we were late arrivals due to flight times, brilliant breakfast, room very comfortable. Breakfast in the Railway Car. Free bottled water in the room + a good assortment of Tea/Coffee makings, great biscuits. Countryside location, ample parking, cleanliness, theamed breakfast/dining area in a converted railway carriage. Warm welcome, good size clean room with 4 poster, good food - a very comfortable inn. excellent location for Bournemouth airport, comfortable and warm, friendly reception. it was so relaxing,and it was lovely to have breakfast in the pullman coaches. The breakfast rail carriage was excellent and the meal was first class. lovely room for our wedding night, close to our venue, lovely breakfast. It was a very nice hotel and very handy for Bournemouth airport. Very clean, excellent rooms. Great staff, fab breakfast. Breakfast was excellent. Restaurant was very good value. Friendly staff; good bar; unique restaurant. The staff were really friendly and helpful. four poster bed & early breakfast tray. Staff particularly pleasant. Everything. location to the airport. Very good breakfast. food was excellent. Evening meal ok. Bedroom good, but no wi-fi in our room. Tea making facilities good. Breakfast in the railway carriage. Food is typical 'corporate' pub grub, which is fine (and good value), but practically nothing for vegetarians. Fire alarm went off at 6:40 am, all guests went out to car park, no-one came to explain, or tell us it was ok to go back in our rooms or to apologise. Breakfast was disappointing- greasy/marked plate, very creased and un-ironed tablecloths, not a lot of options for gluten free, Full English wasn't much, and the customer service wasn't with a smile/cheery at all, didn't feel valued as a customer. Nothing. Nothing. only fault was the size of the shower but it wouldn't stop me booking again as it was perfectly good - just a bit small for me. The ceiling in the shower all the paint peeling off and hanging down needs attention. Only told at breakfast - 'Full English' - What else was there? No breakfast menu: What we were served however was very good. Very warm (radiators in hallways seemed to be on full blast) - some nearby road noise. The bathroom could have been cleaner the room was ok but lacking attention to detail in bathroom. on one night they had a band playing not our type of music,ijust wish they had a notice up so we could at least go out some where that night. Unfortunately the noise from the road all night was very bad but that can be no reflection on the hotel itself. nothing. Location. n/a. Nothing. smelly carpet in room. Uncomfortable bed and hard pillows. Use of plastic protectors makes this even worse. room a bit small also toilet seat had been fitted wrong so you had to hold seat while trying to pee. Bar managers ignorant abrupt attitude. Long wait for food orders to be taken. Blazing fire much too near to tables, on what was a warm evening. Breakfast very poor, and made to eat it in the bar area . Uncomfortable beds Uncomfortable bedclothes Room was very hot Room was very noisy No shower gel provided No soap provided.
