Location was perfect just on the edge of town. The room was spacious and clean. There was an on site bar and restaurant so you didn't need to go out if you didn't feel like it. The Manager (Jason) was excellent so efficient and friendly. We would definitely recommend this hotel and would stay at an Ibis again. Once central Chesterfield had been reached, the Ibis was immediately visible, easy parking. Staff friendly on arrival - we had had a long day, but were made very welcome and were happy to settle for standard Ibis food, which was quickly served. Beer good. Bedding etc comfy.
所有评语 » Quite a modern Hotel in the city centre, close enough to walk. Staff were helpful, friendly and happy to resolve issues. Breakfast was a buffet choice which would suit all tastes, however, they need to learn how to scramble eggs! Good car parking freely available. We liked the location it was central to all of the areas we planned to visit, theatre, cinema, town centre. This was a family visit, because we had tickets to the theatre. Having stayed in other Ibis hotels I knew I would have value for money and friendly welcome. Comfortable beds - clean and modern. Courteous staff. I kept expecting to be "let down" because of your very competitive rates but this wasn't the case.Ibis hotels would not appear to be compromising quality and comfort when offering low cost hospitality. Value for money, cleanliness of the room we stayed in and the centre itself. We were pleased that our dog could stay with us in our room overnight, as he's old and would've been cold and unhappy in the car overnight. Staff were friendly and helpful. The staff were excellent and dealt with a minor problem with the entertainment system very efficiently. Overall the hotel was excellent value for money. We were visiting Chatsworth which was only a short drive from the hotel. Great location very close to shops and walking distance to eating places in the evening. Rooms were lovely and clean and bedding very comfortable. Fantastic value for money and more than 2 star!!!. Very nice welcome on arrival and staff friendly, saying hello in the corridors. Tea / coffee making facilities in room is always very welcome when so many hotels don't offer this now. nearness to peaks and dales, excellent,friendly,efficient staff.....comfortable beds, provision of tea and coffee in room, convenient bar good room size.. spotlessly clean. Most importantly, the view from from room 115 was without doubt the worst I've ever seen. Most of the window was filled with the hipped roof from the dining area, and part of the side view had a TV dish visible. Clearly not a problem when asleep, but perhaps accounted for super-low price. Receptionist didn't remind us to put parking ticket in car, but no problem ensued. This particular location is very hard for those without transport due to the motorway and roundabouts. It is very hazardous trying to cross the roads, that said the cost of a taxi was low. Double glazed windows, although i understand the safety aspect under consideration,here. The toilet flush broke on the morning we left but otherwise everything was fine. Nothing really, I regularly stay at Ibis hotels. Non-stop loud rubbish music in bar/ restaurant. Wide busy road outside. Located between a round about and a motorway which wasn't a concern for us on the third floor by the round about but our adult chn found their room noisy as they looked onto the motorway and because of the heat had to leave their windows open even with a fan going - air con would fix this. Breakfast was expensive at £8 pp and no b&b package offered. The only toiletries provided were a bar of soap and shower gel dispenser - no shampoo. Car park is far too small. You can hear the people in the next room quite clearly. Necessary crossing of very busy road to access town centre - no pedestrian crossing by hotel. Nothing really, a bit wider choice of TV channels would be good. No lighting above the mirror in th main room. no tissues in bathroom, not much choice of channels on tv - stayed at Holiday Inn previously and they had Freeview which was good. Carpet a bit hard but okay. Nothing of any significance. Only one chair to sit other than the bed, slight drain smell from the wash basin and crossing the wide road to get to the shops. nothing not to not like... Nothing we didn't like. Breakfast good though not as hot as we would like though of course this is always the problem with self-serve buffet style when food is pre-cooked. The key card system was very tempremental. Nothing apart from you don't get breakfast included when you spend quite abit of money for the room to start with E.g £48 for the night no breakfast included. The TV channel choice was very limited for a hotel and the price of the room didn't include a breakfast. There seemed to be a problem with the double glazing in our room, in that it did not seem to cut the traffic noise as much as we thought it should have, possibly faulty double glazing and the ventilation covers seemed to be missing (room 425). Nothin negative to report. Room at the front of the hotel very hot and uncomfortable. Difficult to get a good nights sleep. just a bit awkward getting in because of roundabout but you soon get used to it that's all. Meals a bit expensive for the amount you get. We had a disabled person and at times the disabled parking bays were full, only a few cars had blue badges on, there were workers vans parked in the disabled bays, we had to park down a slope and push the wheel chair up to get into the hotel, a bit better policing would help. Traffic noise prevented us from opening windows. The room key were a bit tricky, however when mentioned to receptionist he did inform us that it was a known on going prob that was being looked at with a view to being resolved. Limited menu,. First 2 rooms had definite cigarette odour so we moved to a 3rd room which was better. Not enough room in the car park. Unfortunately the hair-drier in the room burst into flames though I don't hold anyone responsible for that!. magnetic card failed to work bedroom door once or twice. Late night receptionist ignored several customers waiting for bar service; too busy doing something on the computer then went into rear office without glancing in direction of bar. The constant banging of doors by inconsiderate guests. No negatives does what it promises.
