The Waterman is a very pleasant place to stay if you're an easy-going person: it's clean and comfortable, but the bathroom's shared so you have to be OK with possibly waiting for the shower and the toilet. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful (especially Alex - hello! :-D). The breakfast was simple but there was a lot of food and the wireless connection was very good. It's 10 minutes walk from the centre.
所有评语 » Nice and very helpful staff, ready to make small, but significant favours (like offering an extra duvet or calling a taxi on a foggy early morning) when it matters the most. Clean premises, comfy bed, clean linens and towels. Rather small rooms, but intelligently arranged. A thumbs-up for the simple, but tasty breakfast (oh, les croissants! :)). A 10 minutes' walk to the city centre. Great!. A very clean and comfortable room (I had an en-suite) in a good location - a 10-15 minute walk to central Cambridge across one of the city's most pleasant parks. The staff were very friendly. I had been prepared for noise from pub customers and the road but found it was not loud enough to disturb me. I look forward to returning on future visits to Cambridge. Quiet room, despite overlooking a fairly busy intersection. An easy an pleasant walk to all attractions. Although the listing indicates paid parking, we were told to park for free behind the Barclay's Bank next door. I'm not sure the Bank actually knows about this, but it worked!. Very personal and friendly. Daryl was extremely helpful and considerate of individual needs. The food in the pub was very affordable and I liked the fact that there was a wider selection of food choices other than just pub food. The restaurant staff too was great. Thank you. The Price - compared to many Cambridge prices, it was reasonable (compared to most of the UK, it was expensive) High level of cleanliness. Traffic noise if double glazed windows are opened. the breakfast was a bit simple. It is on a busy corner with some of traffic noise. no sink in the room. A little noisy during the night because of the traffic outside. It didn't bother us, but only starting breakfast (itself a bit limited) at 8.30 could be a constraint for those needing an early start. we booked the small room and it's very tiny. there is a lot of noise from the street. Everything was great!. Breakfast is a bit boring: fruits, cereals, toasts, and a croissant. They don't have soy milk, and no ham or any other meat or fish thing. Heating broke often and we were freezing in the room for a couple of days. The room was so small, that with double bed, 1 small table, 1 chair and 2 pieces of luggage we could not walk at all - we could not do more than 1 step. This room can't serve as double. Anything. You need to use a sharing bathroom, but it is very clean. Shared bathroom. Share bathroom is fine with me but maybe not everyone though. Continental breakfast was all right, but a bacon butty would be nice!. Room was a bit small. Noise from a street at night. old carpets in rooms, shared bathrooms. Nothing. Just like any city location, a bit noisy, but the great location makes up for it. We would certainly stay again. Because of the pub was just downstairs, it was difficult to go to bed early. Although there are pubs more noisy around, so in the end it wasn't so bad. Limited choice for breakfast (just cereal and toast). By busy road junction so lots of traffic noise when window open. Very small room Lack of a bedside light. Breakfast starts at 8:30, which is far too late if you are staying for work reasons (which is often the case if you go to Cambridge). Since I had to leave around 8 every morning, I could never have breakfast. We didn't sleep well at all the first night because of the noise. The hotel was next to a very busy road and on top of a noisy pub. We kept the windows closed but this didn't help at all. The second night we used ear plugs and this helped us to sleep better. If you are not used to sleeping in a noisy city environment, perhaps it is better to find another place to stay. Cost (compared with Travelodge, say), Breakfast (compared with Travelodge) - though we know Cambridge is expensive and wanted a location convenient for our needs at the time.
