Very warm welcome, with nice cream tea and biscuits, not to mention our sweet Anabel. Also Janet, friend of Romney, who was there at the time. Feel like staying at home with friends. Breakfast was very tasty. Location is great, near Lechlade and Kelmscott where You can find great pubs with nice food and excellent ales. Nice for walking around river Thames. The house is old and has a lot of English charm and history. Bathroom with bath is beatiful and interested, in an old fashion style. Thanks .
所有评语 » Extremely friendly owner/staff. They were very accomodating and couldn't do enough to make our stay exactly as we wanted it. Anything you want Romney to do just ask and she will try her very best! The room was beautiful and the bathroom was large and inviting!!! You also have a guest dining room and lounge which was a lovely touch and we made use of all the rooms. Breakfast was amazing, I asked for something special as it was the morning of my wedding and I had all my bridesmaids and my hair st. Romney and her family are delightful hosts. Romney went out of her way to ensure we had everything we wanted during our 3 night stay. Buscot Manor is a beautiful, 400 year old heritage house set in lovely gardens with views out over the fields alongside the Thames - a perfect location. One doesn't often get the chance to stay in such a house in such excellent condition. The house is beautifully appointed. Also just a couple of miles from very good restaurants in Lechlade. The staff are friendly and helpful and make the guest feel right at home. It's not a glitzy B&B, but Buscot Manor is comfortable and has the feel of a historic old home, complete with creaking wooden floors and skeleton keys for the bath rooms. If you're looking for a place close to popular tourist attractions this is not it - but if you want a comfortable, welcoming place that's a bit off the beaten path in a scenic location this is for you. Romney greeted us with a pot of tea and biscuits in her garden - bliss after such a long day. After a quick shower and a trip to the local town for dinner, we returned with a bottle of wine and again sat in her lovely garden with the last rays of the sun, watching the bats fly around. Lovely, relaxing, and one night was not enough!. Romney was very welcoming and friendly - she brought us a pot of tea and some biscuits and we sat in the garden relaxing before walking along the river - which was lovely. The breakfast was great - and I enjoyed chatting with the other guests. Would definitely stay again if going to that area. Perfect setting for our first Downton abbey viewing in England. My daughter and I expected Lady Mary to walk into our red bedroom but Romney with hot coffee, tea, and snacks was even better! She was always helpful and polite- giving us tips on nearby restaurants and rainy day activities. Romney is an excellent host who makes you feel incredibly welcome. The rooms are sumptuous & the bed was very comfortable. It's a great spot for walking and all sorts of horsey activities with some great pubs a very short drive away. Lovely building and really friendly and homely place. The breakfast was excellent and the family also bustle around making you feel really at home. The bedrooms and lovely and the bed super comfy! A really lovely experience. The warm and friendly staff they were very helpful The manor house communal areas were very homely The table for breakfast was very good at getting guests to talk to one another and the rooms were excellent. The house is very picturesque. The very nice breakfast at a round table with all the other guests allows for cultural exchange and discussion of highlights in the neighbourhood. Very friendly welcome, excellent facilities. We were made to feel like friends of the family rather than paying guests. The whole family were so friendly and helpful. It was lovely as we arrived as the kettle was put on straight away so we could sit in the garden with biscuits and tea. Very friendly, felt like we were at home. Brilliant visit. Everything perfect and let your website improve itself with more photos to describe the especial experience you are offering your lucky guests. AS it was in a nice quite place and the staff where very friendly and the breakfast was very good this would have to be the BB l have stayed in. Romney is a delight, the friendliness is that of a cousin you have not met yet. Other guests very friendly. Buscot and Lechlade are adorable. Buscot manor was lovely house. Room was spacious and bed comfortable, made to feel welcome on arrival. Breakfast very tasty. the staff were pleasant, friendly and relaxed. the furnishings were elegant but comfortable. the breakfast was delicious. Large 4 poster bed. Locality. food was good. The bed. Separate private bathroom. Unfortunately our room (4 poster bed mainly) was very dusty and we had a few unwanted residents in the form of a spider or two!! Would like the option to have a lay in and pay a little extra to stay in the room til mid day as apposed to having to check out by 10.30am. nothing. You need a car to get to the nearest pub, restaurant or shop. nothing. Frequency of refreshing the towel. Nothing. N/A. Families can make a lot of noise, crying baby etc. It can happen anywhere, but feels more noticeable in a B&B. I have not stayed in many, so it's difficult to say. Room was chilly when we arrived lovely and warm when heating came on. Nothing. Nothing - everything was perfect!. Missed not only an ensuite facility but also a shower, especially in such hot weather. Nothing in particular TV did not work properly I think there was an ariel fault. Sharing bathrooms. Not being able to pay by debit or credit card. the rooms were very cold as there had been no heating on. 3c outside. rooms were not en suit. no wardrobe to hang clothes in. At end of stay they charged £5 more than the bill was. raised their price without telling us before we stayed there. Bathroom wasn't an en-suite Drive to a restaurant for dinner No choice of how the egg is cooked for breakfast.
