Good Value Hotel , close to the City Centre and Queens University for gigs - don't expect 5* luxury, but if you are after somewhere clean and central for a night or two then Renshaws is fine. The friendly staff, comfortable family room, variety of breakfast choice, location and excellent value.easy going staff, handy walk into belfast city centre, clean and tidy ,good location, everything you need for a short stay. Price was very acceptable. Brakfast was good in that it was self service.Good value for money for a hotel situated in the city. nice quiet room, friendly staff. clean and comfortable. cheap. Good Location, VFM. Good value for money.Friendly staff. size of room. Easy access. Quite central. Good breakfast. The location was very good, within walking distance of the city-centre and lots of bars and restaurants in the area. It was very reasonably priced.Cheaper compared to other hotels in Belfastn. Close to city centre. The staff were very open at the fact that the hotel is being knocked down and being re built, so the standard isn't the best and they aren't fixing anything that is broken. overall the hotel was of an ok standard, room and bedding clean. This venue offered a very basic breakfast inclded in the price of the room. Easy access to city centre. Good area for restaurants. the room was wide!. Situation in city center. The Door Key System was not working and you had to get Reception to come and let you into your room !. The electronic key cards system was innoperative and you had to be manually let into your room! abit of a pain !. They were havng problems with the room keys which was a little inconvenient but once fixed there would be no complaints.Room key cards not working so staff had to let you into your room every time you arrived back!. Very strong smell of disenfectant in the dinning area during breakfast. Not very pleasant.key wouldn't work. The breakfast. should have been a full English. Room not pristine clean, dusty at places. Door key not functioning. The curtains on the bay window half hanging off curtain rail thus not able to cover the windows fully waking us up at 4am with light. Bed looked like it hadn't been made next day. The rooms look a bit outdated, but it's good value for money. A lack of lightbulbs in the main lights in the room. We had to use the bedside lamps for general lighting. The cardkey system was out of order for the three nights we stayed, so you had to hassle the staff to take you up three flights of stairs to let you in evertime you wanted to enter your room. This became rather irksome. Bar closed down due to hotel being demolished soon!. Bar of hotel is mostly used by students and there is a lot of noise in the area until the early morning( to be fair Liverpool had just won a champions league quarter final and this caused a lot of celebration. Hotel facilities and breakfast very basic but the price i paid reflected this. Electronic key had not been working for 6 months!only way to access roomwas by staff member opening door each time you wanted to enter your roomwith a master key. Im sure that due to sevices winding down, that it is a self service breakfast, you have to get everything yourself. This is not a hotel, but rather, feels like a hostel with private rooms and bathrooms. The cleanliness is very poor. Our duvet had a cigarette burn on it, as well as on the furniture. The hotel was old and somewhat neglected. It is due to be knocked downand rebuilt and so no improvements have been made. Key system wasunsatisfactory as you had to have a member of staff open your room eachtime you returned as only a master key was available for use. The staffwere very pleasant and willing when attending to this. their security was not good...should have been an earlier check in time. also the rooms did not have keys so a member of staff had to let us into the rooms. not clean,. Room keys didn't work! Room furniture crummy (an actor's makeup table for desk?!!), separate taps for hot and cold water (either you burn yourself or you freeze!), horribly noisy fan in the bathroom (luckily it stops when you switch the light off!), student disco running until midnight on the ground floor, windows not closing completely, no ham for breakfast. This hotel was nothing like the write up, when we arrived we were told that it was being demolished in three weeks time and that the key entry cards were not working so each time we needed entry to our room we had to ask a member of staff to let us in. There was no bar or restaurant in the hotel as they had been closed and the rooms were very basic. The hotel is being knocked down very shortly and the staff didn`t haveany enthusiasm to be there as they presumeably are losing their jobs. The rooms had not been cleaned and there wasn`t any tea bags or milk inthe room or even for breakfast the next morning. When we came back thenext afternoon after sightseeing the bedroom still had not been cleaned. This is when we decided to move out.
