  I liked everything. The guesthouse has fantastic location, fabulous inner garden with beautiful design. Very safe environment. Moreover, guesthouse support - I chose this guesthouse because of the beautiful flowers in the photos and the fact that it is connected to a women's cooperative. I couldn't have made a better choice. I was in Mardin to consider the possibility of pursuing dissertation research related to the local linguistic situation. The owners and staff of the guesthouse were so incredibly helpful in connecting me to people, that I can't imagine the difference had I not stayed there. He was friendly, funny, and a font of information in various languages. I usually avoid guided tours like the plague, but I would suggest considering theirs.   Everyone there is extremely friendly and they made me feel very welcomed as soon as I stepped out of the car in the yard. The location is excellent, very close to the summit of Mount Nemrut. It is perfect if you want to watch the sunrise at the top (the major attraction there) and be back for breakfast. Cover your ears, take a sleeping bag... What ever it takes. Particularly if staying for sunset. As soon as you stop walking it's incredibly cold.
