  I had read some very negative reviews from previous guests about 3 Apples Elmadag. Now that we spent 4 nights there I'm really wondering if we've been to the same location... Location of apartment was good, i.e near to Isteqlal street, on the other hand most of interesting points of Istanbul is easily reachable from Taksim. - The apartment is good. If you are no - My host was the greatest. Erol is outgoing and interested in making sure his guests are safe and informed. The rooms are nice sized, though the shower is unusual. He has only seven rooms but had had cancellations because of reporting about Taksim Square so I was the only guest for the first days. Erol took me on a tour of the city. I'm sure I wouldn't have seen so much if not for him. And I'm sure he saved me from being gouged by taxis.
