The Breakfast - A classic hotel, which I've used twice before, in 1995 & 2005, before its recent refurbishment. It's now three times the price, but the grandeur is no longer faded, it's now a true 5-star place. And I'm delighted to say that the refurb hasn't spoilt its character at all, as this is a hotel with more character and history than most! Staff were great, we got a room upgrade, and an extra hour extended checkout wasn't a problem. If we return to Istanbul, it'll be the Pera Palas for us!

  Great location. Apartments are a few steps away from Galata tower and 5 min walk to Istiklal street. There are many cafes and restaurants right next to Galata tower. A cab ride to sultanahmet took us 10 mins and 20- 25 lira ( taxi meter better than prenegotiated rate). Manager was very nice and accommodative. A small grocery store and money exchange in the back street. - The size of the apartment was of a good size of about 36 sq.m with the sofa bed being able to be folded into bed making our stay with the Kids much conveninent. The location of the apartment is excellent within close proximity to the shopping area of Estiqlal in Taksim and also metro/trump stations. The hospitality of the management was handled with excellent care by Mr. Takin and his team.

  It was really enjoyable stay at Movenpick Istanbul, so comfortable, so quite, service and staff is really 5 stars.... Restaurant, wellness center, men and women beauty salon, internet is good.   The stuff was very helpful, you get felling at you are staining at home. The location is good; with waking distant (1- 2 km) you can reach many good places. Taksem , Kabtash tram, ISIS ,and mall. If you are no - My host was the greatest. Erol is outgoing and interested in making sure his guests are safe and informed. The rooms are nice sized, though the shower is unusual. He has only seven rooms but had had cancellations because of reporting about Taksim Square so I was the only guest for the first days. Erol took me on a tour of the city. I'm sure I wouldn't have seen so much if not for him. And I'm sure he saved me from being gouged by taxis.
