The surrounding was quiet,. Good location. "low budget, no frills" -- so long as that's what you expect, it's nice; and for Zurich, it's cheap. The train was relatively convenient to downtown, considering where it is. Free wlan is a great thing! The toilet are shared because it's anhostel,but the price is good. Cheap and cheerful. The staff was quite freindly and willing to help and the hostels policy on quiet after 10pm was quite pleasant. Most hostels can be quite noisy at night this one was not other than the regular city traffic outside.所有 评语 »
Cheap, and available. Also good access via Zurich S-Bahn (Altstetten) and Bus 89 which also connects to trams. Would suit travellers on a tight budget. Staff was nice. Beds are OK. There was only one staff that served us during check in. He was courteous and professional.Cheap given time of year. The room is clean, the bathroom also. Close to the stadium.pas deserviette de bain dans la chambre. the shared bathrooms were not very big and there was only 1 showers, 1 tub/shower combo and 2 toilets on each floor. Room floor looked dirty. Room was hot and the only way was to open a window to somewhat busy street down below. Was very hot; when with open windows, street noises loud. Also took some time to find the name of your place. What about a more visible name bord on the street?. We were put on the second floor which is ground level floor with the streets and cars. I felt we were sleeping on the sidewalk because noise from the streets/walker bys were so audible and distracting to sleep. No air conditioning. No breakfast available any more, even though it was at the time of booking. No toilet in the room, only a small bathroom for a few rooms. It has no meal service, the rooms are small, expensive for what it offers. Not so close to the city centrum.strictly limited time of chech-in and check-out time, no more services.

Travelling information
From the main railway station 'Zurich Hauptbahnhof':
Take bus no. 31 (direction Schlieren) and get off at the stop 'Luggweg-Strasse'. Bus ride takes approx. 15 minutes. Go straight for 200 metres, then make a left turn by crossing the street. Walk to the next big intersection with traffic lights. At the corner turn left into Baslerstrasse and walk another 200 metres to Hostel Suisse. To walk from the bus stop to our location you need 5 minutes maximum.
From the airport:
Take a train to the railway station 'Zurich-Altstetten'. In front is Hohlstrasse. Cross the street and walk straight (approx. 300 metres) through Bristenstrasse. At the next corner turn left into Baslerstrasse. Walk straight (approx. 700 metres), cross the street at the big intersection with traffic lights, and 200 metres further on the left side, Hostel Suisse is located.
The journey from the airport to the city takes approx. 10 minutes by train (services every 15 minutes) or around 20 minutes by taxi directly to Hostel Suisse.
Taxis are located by the exits at the arrival terminals 1 and 2.
Another way is to take tram no. 3 (direction Albisrieden) from the main railway station and change at the stopp 'Stauffacher'. Then take tram no. 2 (direction Farbhof) and get off at the stop "Grimselstrasse". Walk back 200 metres and cross the street at the traffic light. Turn left and walk to the intersection you see ahead. This is Baslerstrasse. Cross the street, turn right at this corner and 200 metres on, Hostel Suisse is located.
