  Although they are doing heavy construction on the place, they managed to provide us with a very comfortable stay. The rooms are so clean and well-decorated. The location is very convenient. Food is great too! - I loved the room and bathroom space and décor. But the room I was in, which was superior is going to be upgraded to luxury I was told at the reception. Sad. - we had an excellent stay. They upgraded our room for a deluxe room when we told them we were newly wedded. Staff is welcoming. Room with jacuzzi is perfect.

On the other hand it is - We stayed at Nooit Gedacht for 3 nights during the low season and got 5 star treatment. The place was kept at the highest standards, despite us being the only guests at the time. Pools, gardens (with lots of widlife), food and of course the ayurveda treatments, it was all perfect. The location is also great - just a few minutes walk from Unawatuna beach, but enough to have some peace - and there is a pleasant walk over the hill to a little village and a quiet little bay called Jungle Beach. The place is around 10 minute Tuk Tuk out of town but it is on a lovely where the rooms are literally over the water with the waves crashing below. The service was really amazing. It was my girlfriends birthday so I asked what extra they could do for when we arrived. They gave me a few opt - The room I chose faced the sea and the view and sound were incredible. The public spaces were comfortable and clean. The staff were very friendly, professional and accommodating and the food was food with convenient hours. I was a perfect seaside retreat.
