I had a fantastic stay in Madison Residence. The location was superb.
For me one very important facility when the temperature outside was 30
degrees was the beautifully working air-conditioning. Room was equipped
with an electric kettle; hairdryer could be obtained by request from the
main hotel. The room was looked after daily and towels changed (very
importantly the cleaning ladies every day arrive between 12-2 pm which
does not disturb your sleep. And the staff at the hotel reception where

good location (close to train station, beach, shops, clubs and bars), quiet peaceful street, in-room air conditioning and fridge, large balcony.
Brilliant location in town center at budget prices. Our room had a terrace which was a nice surprise.

It was like having our own apartment in the centre of town where all the action is in the late afternoons and evenings (after the beach). Residence is a very short walk to the main square, but is very quiet. We were on the 2nd floor and it was perfect. Looked like there were up to 6 floors (no elevator), so beware of that.
Staff were outstanding and very friendly! After we arrived (late evening), the toilet didn't work, so the gave us the key to another vacant room to use (we would have mov.
Very central,I stayed in the annex it was very very dated however it was clean,the towels and bedding was worn out with holes ,but all was lean.
Isolation, and no reception, it's like having a key to a room in an
apartment, nobody watching you!.
The staff are super super fantastic and lovely and location is great.
My room had a balcony/door to the street outside (which was not very
busy), the conversation noise from the staff of the little restaurant
adjacent to the residence was a bit annoying if one wanted to sleep
before 00:30-01:00 am (even if the balcony door was closed); thereafter
it was quiet. Also the tv/sky channels except one R&B music were
all Spanish which I don't speak; some English channels would have
been nice. All these are really minor.

Same room as last year and still an awful smell (from bathroom?). They removed table and chair from room since last year.
all though i never actully seen the maid service,did get fresh towels everyday and room tidy up,but they didn't seem sweep the floor and there was no brush in room and after visiting the beach u do drag sand into the room,so that should be sorted out.
You have to go to the front desk of the Madison Hotel (around the corner and down the main street) in order to check-in and get the keys for the Madison Residence. It's not that far, except our key cards didn't work the first time. The staff fixed it promptly though.
Wifi didn't work until my last night.no breakfast included,tv had no English channels.
Reception is at the Bahia hotel four blocks away, nobody said this,
guest found me on the doorstep and took me to the property with the
reception 5 minutes walk away. Property Very basic, adequate!.
when I entered the room, it was full of spider nets!!!
They say there are internet but the truth it doesn't work.
The water in my shower doesn't rinse. it stays and instead of fixing it they offer me to use other rooms shower!!! and agreed because the other room doesn't have fridge and terrible.
i recommend it only if the price is one third of the price now.
