  Very nice staff - not everybody speaks perfect English, but with basic Spanish - no problem! With 'Sp-english' - no worries at all ! :) While staying 2 nights I could change the room for better the following night. Internet for free in the room.   The hotel was just a 5 min top walking distance from the metro station in a quiet, with not many tourists, neighbourhood. (The city centre was about a 15min metro ride away). There is a bakery and a grocery shop just next to it and the supermarket was just a block away. We had a little kitchen with fridge so we could prepare our own breakfast. The hotel is outside the main tourist area and the local people are very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed some great food in the area and I would recommend eating a plate of Iberico at the butcher's terrace.   We were not only plunged into the cosy atmosphere but we felt a marine spirit due to the authentic decoration, despite the fact that the boat is situated not in the open sea. Also there was sincere hospitality as if we were the long-awaited friends. The deck is created for the stay under the stars - We found the St. Katharine B&B Boat accidentally and it turned out to be the perfect accomodation for our week-end trip. Delicious breakfast and a warm and relaxing atmosphere on a lovely and clean boat. Situated not so far from the old town (15 min tube and walk) it's the best mix between adventure and peace you can get in Barcelona. The prices are really fair and Cas, the owner, looks after you as if you were a family member.

  Our 3 day visit to Barcelona was excellent - the hotel staff were very freindly and helpful. The location is out of town, but you don't have far to get on the Metro or the trams. We had a lovely dinner at the hotel too - the service andf food were excellent. We arrived at the hotel very early and had the option to either have the room early - Staff were lovely always very helpful. Hotel is a in walk from the llacuna metro stop and it's about 10mins into las ramblas! The area itself is lovely right on la rambla poblenou which is full of bars and restaurants and leads down to the sea front from there it's a stroll to the Olympic port which has more bar clubs and restaurants we loved our stay and the location. Also about a 20min walk to the diagonal shopping center and the barcelona tourist bus stops nearby. Great location and cheap pe
