  The hotel was just a 5 min top walking distance from the metro station in a quiet, with not many tourists, neighbourhood. (The city centre was about a 15min metro ride away). It's an excellent place to stay - can't recommend it enough - quiet, clean and comfortable, wi - It's a great, nice and cozy, place :) The owners are open and friendly and they keep the place clean. We had a great time watching the celebration of the lights at Horta streets, from the roof-top terrace. We also liked the fact that the hostel was peacefull and quiet althought it was fully booked. A big plus is the well equiped kitchen and good acces to wi-fi. The hostel is close to metro station and there are few shops nearby - but it may be hard to buy something during siesta or on Sunday.

That said, one should never let their guard down wherever they are and however safe the area seems.
