  A modern hotel in a fairly quiet residential area on the outskirts of the city. 10 - 15 minute walk from the beach - we didn't see one tacky tourist shop in the area - but an exellent shopping mall with supermarket and restaurants only a 3 minute walk away.   As we stayed for 3 nights we got upgraded to Junior Suite. They also had a breakfast offer of just 10euro each for contintental/cooked breakfast. Very good value. LIDL was but a 10 minute walk away, and the beach about 20 mins - The hotel was excellent. It was very modern and tastefully decorated. I would definately stay here again

  Our 3 day visit to Barcelona was excellent - the hotel staff were very freindly and helpful. The location is out of town, but you don't have far to get on the Metro or the trams.   The hotel is excellent. It has a prepared and kind staff. Its location was excellent for us because we were attending a conference in ccib. The beaches are near there and we just walk to them. The hotel is close to a metro station (it is easy to go to the town). We certainly would wish to go back to the Diagonal Zero Hotel and rec - This hotel is in a good location for access to the Grand Prix circuit - on the outskirts of Barcelona, with easy access via metro to the centre and a walk across the road to a decent beach. Parking is good in the underground car park. The hotel is modern and reasonably well equipped - the rooms (lighting, heating) are 'run' by a software interface screen in each room. Our Exec room was large enough and well designed. The bar Tapas was pretty good too. The staff were friendly and helpful.
