  I am rating this place before getting there, so it may be a little bit biased. We are set to arrive in Barcelona on sept 19, 2012. 6 of my friends booked the apartment and we wanted to add me and my husband to the group. I emailed to info@apartmentsinbarcelona.net.   The apartment was half the price of two hotel rooms in the Gothic Quarter for our party of 5. The location was great, but it was a 5-8 minute walk from where we had to pick up our key, so it was a haul because we had a TON of luggage and 2 people in their 70s.   We had some problem the first night: they booked a room for us in another hotel 'cause we were in sort of overbooking. But from the second day the stay was great. To apologize they leave us one of the best room (and for a day more), give us breakfast for free (at the bar nearby) and discount part of the ammount.
