  The hotel staff were extremely friendly and helpful, something we have found lacking in our stay at various hotels abroad. The facilities were fantastic, my son and I had a swim and the room had all those little extras that you might have forgotten. The best thing about this hotel though was the staff.   My wife and i thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Colon hotel and would recomend this hotel as an excellent central location to explore Barcelona. You are right in the centre but yet in a very quiet peacful location just off La Rambla ideal for all restaurants, the bus tours etc which are a must for anybody visiting the city.   The rooms are all individually designed and very unique. We stayed in the Ibiza room and the bed was very comfortable. The owner Fleur was the extremely friendly and helpful and couldn't do enough for us. Upon arrival and each morning we were also given homemade cakes which were amaxing and a lovely touch! The location is close - Salsas and Co is a fantastic Bed and Breakfast. The rooms are clean, stylish and comfortable, the breakfast is delicious and Fleur could not be more helpful or welcoming. I really can’t fault the place, it represents exceptional value for money. It is well situated for easy access to the Bus, Tram, Tourist Bus and Metro systems and is within walking distance of the centre. I would not hesitate to stay here again (in fact we plan to return soon) and I will be recommending to friends.
