  It´s a purpose built hostel, not a converted apartment building. The rooms are very spacious. The staff was exceedingly helpful and very nice (I can speak spanish, so I can't vouch for their foreign language skills). Felt newly decorated and the word 'clean' simply can't describe the sparkling perfection of the rooms and common areas. The photos simply don't do justice to the hotel/hostal - common areas are beautiful and the building reminded us of a Moroccan riad.

  Fantastic location in the Albaicin barrio -- which, contrary to what I'd read, seemed safe and friendly. From the hostal's rooftop terrace you can look across and watch the sun rise over the Alhambra. Easy bus ride into the city center. Moni and Marisol, the owners are simply lovely. The Hostal was in a lovely old quiet plaza in the old Moorish Albaizin cobbled quarter of Grenada. Buses every few mins downtown. A quiet house to stay in. Quirky decor. We had a small bedroom with a good size shower room and a big balcony with vines overhead. A wonderful big roof-garden with amazing views of the Alhambra and the Sierra Nevada. And you step from this into the kitchen for use any time and at breakfast when food is provided.

  The lady on reception was really friendly and helpful and gave us lots of advice. The hotel was very clean and cleaned daily and the toiletries were replenished daily as well. Maybe I was just luckier than other guests, but I got a large room with window on the street, good lighting, heat and my own bath with tub. I found some congenial people here with whom I could go out on the town -- in Granada this means taking in Flamenco music and dancing, about which I am rabid. There was an interesting international group here.
