The owners were so friendly and welcoming, nothing was any bother and they went to great lengths to ensure that we had a wonderful stay. The room was beautifully decorated, and nicely appointed. The bed was extremely comfortable and the bedroom and bathroom were very clean and well presented. The rooms displayed attention to detail, such as nice bedcovers and linen and bathroom accessories and heating (we stayed in winter). We could not of asked for a better location, or a better place to s.

This place is a gem and it absolutely took me by surprise,the owners Carmen, Emanuel and daughter Maria Carmen were the nicest and most genuine people I have met. They could not do enough to make us feel welcome, they took care of all my parking worries and ensured the car was securely parked while we checked in, they provided us with an incredibly home cooked meal for our last evening there and upon our departure Ca. Staff was very friendly and helpful. It is possible to leave the bags at the reception for a while. Breakfast is worth trying. Location is just in the city center in the quite pedestrian area and one can reach by foot all main attractions within the city. The decor of the rooms reflects authentic granada style. There are two locations of this hostal in the same street just two houses away. Great central location. Manolo and Carmen were wonderful hosts, as previous reviews have said they talked us through a map of the local area, made recommendations and were always around if we needed anything. We stayed in a superior double which was very spacious and well worth the price. Absolutely spotlessly clean and such a comfortable bed. We would definitely go back. A real gem. Large bedroom and bathroom, very nicely furnished. Inside the hotel is exactly as pictured - bit like a Moorish palace! Staff very friendly and helpful. Perfect location right in the heart of Granada with good bars, restaurants and parking nearby. Easy walking distance to the Alhambra Palace. Breakfast excellent. Highly recommended. The Hostal Lima was the absolute highlight of my 3 week vacation to the Iberian Peninsula. Imagine luxury 7 centuries ago, with knights, carved horses, mosaics and a bubbling fountain with indescribable background music. I teared up when I entered the room - truly an experience. The Hostal Lima is worth a trip from anywhere in the world. The hotel staff were very eager and willing to help. The room was beautifully decorated. Hostal Lima is quite conveniently situated a few minutes walk from the Cathedral and a very pleasant shopping area. Calle Gran Via de Colon is also nearby - most public transport passes through and you can easily catch a taxi from here. This was our second visit in a month and this time we booked a superior room. It was absolutely beautiful, spacious and tastefully decorated. Lovely and clean, friendly helpful family run business with a fantastic breakfast. Would not stay anywhere else in Granada now. Very central, great and helpful staff: a man working there told us how to explore Granada in one day with all the tips where to go, where to eat, etc. It worked perfectly! They Seniorita was very helpful and made every effort to communicate given our lack of Spanish and her lack of English. Hotel is quirky which is why we chose it. We can stay in a boring hotel room anywhere this place is different. Fantastic location. The staff, both the man and the woman in reception as well as the cleaners were all fantastic. We booked a superior double room and it's really big and comfortable. Staff is nice and helpful, English- speaking. Although we need to walk all the way in the old town, but many stores and restaurants around so it's nice. Very limited English is spoken but we were able to communicate with no problems. The women and her daughter who staffed the front desk were very kind and helpful. Would definitely recommend you take a taxi to get there as it is hard to find!. The Hostal Lima was a lovely place to stay, it had been renovated to a high standard, the staff were very helpful, the location was excellent and it was very good value. The rooms are cleaned with a detergent that can cause problems for people with allergies. Nothing. I didn't like the fact that there are not more places like this. There is nothing not to like, but one negative comment would be there was no hanging space or hangers for clothes, but for a few days is no big deal. no lift, it is a bit heavy to carry luggage to the top floor. Absolutely nothing. Fridge would have been good. But no complaints. Location is not so center, and actually the transporation in Granada old town is not so convenience. You'd better take a taxi after get off the train, because it's not so near and not convenience for bus. We spent about 7euro for 2 persons. Room was smaller than expected but it was just a basic double and not superior double. No breakfast facilities but 500m away is a lovely plaza with plenty of eating options. No hotel in Granada is easy to access but plenty of signage to Hostal Lima, so don't despair when you reach the city. The front desk didn't have information about the buses. Nothing... Difficult in existing building, but just a little more space in the bedroom would have been great. Rooms were quite small and no bath which may bother some people. Parking was inconvenient. We ordered a 2 beds standard room at the hostel and it was so small and uncomfortable so we changed next day to a bigger room at the hostel,as the hotel was fully occupied we had to leave this room after one night to a suit for 2 in the next building- the hotel- and this suit was fabulous. Everything perfect. Some noise disturbance on one of the mornings from another room. It was a good hotel, we would stay there again. The room was a bit small. No Bath No Drinks available. Male member of staff (owner) was fickle, unfriendly and irritated with the problems we experienced with the low level of Wi-Fi we received on the second floor, aircon issues and broken hairdryer... He made us feel uncomfortable at times during our 2 day stay. Our rooms décor was also very dated. He also made us wait for 30 mins to check in as he was trying to hard-sell his mothers food to another guest. Parking was extra and I could not find the cheapest car park near by. bed could be a bit uncomfortable, not soundproof rooms. When we got there ,we were put into another building and that out of season no breakfasts are available,in fact the restaurant was closed.Room very small and walls very very thin.The office/reception opens quite late in the morning,so difficult for an early start. The door was so hard to lock. Wifi didnt work on my iPhone even though there was signal. A hotel staff said that some people had the same problem, so if you are ok that you may not be able to get wifi connection, this hotel will be ok. Very deceiving pictures. Our room looked nothing like the one on the website. Tiny and very noisy. Kitch decor. Not worth the price.
