This is a 3 star hotel with a 5 star setting. Yes the rooms are basic and in need of a refurb but that is reflected in the bargain price and with views like this you won't be spending much time in doors. If you like a hot drink in your room though you will need to bring your own kettle. As a family with young children most of our time is spent on the beach or by the pool. The beach whilst small is quaint and the bathing area safe for young children. You don't have to swim out far to see lots of.
所有评语 » I was impressed by the organisation of the team of cleaners who were friendly & worked hard cleaning just about everything from sand on beach to showers & chairs & railings & fences as well as rooms & obvious areas. The staff on the reception were always friendly & helpful. But most of all the Team of young entertainers . Dave & his team were amazing - always friendly to parents but fantastic with the children . They were never too busy for anyone "kids or adults" . . Large, spacious, clean apartment with a generous balcony. If you wish to self-cater, it is limited (no kettle, microwave, oven or grill). There is a fridge, and a two-ringed cooker and plenty of plates, bowls etc. Very well kept complex with helpful staff. Close to shops, and the centre of Cala D'Or. A pleasant 10-15 minute walk to the marina. Wifi was 11 euros per week. We found it fast and reliable. Overall, the apartment was good value for money. Carla Esmeralda park was an immaculate complex,the beach view is beautiful,staff were helpful and the food was brilliant with such a huge selection.plenty of sun loungers even in June ! Family friendly ,mainly German guests but the standard of the place you can't knock. The Carla Esmeralda was certainly the best complex we came across in the immediate area. Mixed nationalities..no louts ,felt safe and child friendly . We visited Cala D'Or in March so the place was really calm and not crowded as it is in summer time. The beaches are small , but most beautiful I've ever seen. Apartments at the resort are spacious and clean. Food is tasty- wide variety of different food should suit everybody. Staff is friendly and kind. Every evening there is some entertainment for kids and adults. Definitely great value for money. The hotel is in a nice location, with big apartments, varied breakfast, clean, a lot of restaurants and shops around the hotel for those with only BB, detailed information and guidance on the reception for the surrounding interests points, good staff. Beautiful places around Cala D'Or, including large sandy beaches, I recommend to rent a car. The hotel is well equipped with very friendly staff and good facilities. It was clean, comfortable and excellent value for money with a good variety of things to do. I think it is a great destination for a family and well located on the beach with just a short walk to town. I specially loved the staff, great team of loving and sweethearted people. They made the holiday truly beautiful! I appreciated the warm welcome and huge hospitality and their effort to work out each situation with heart to satisfy the guests. Big thanks and congratulations!. Our visits at the pool that overlooked the fantastic beach cove. The help I received when my car battery had died. You provided us with start cables and a young man (Carlos?) that arranged for a co-worker to come and provide with a start motor. The resort did a great job of making you feel that everything was taken care of once you arrived. Did not do the meal plan. Plenty of restaurants and grocery stores nearby. The staff were wonderful! Surroundings, views from poolside, safety for kids, proximity to the beach, friendly staff, excellent kids club, english tv channels in rooms - all in all an excellent place to stay - will absolutely return!. Location. The swimming pools were too cold , we usually stay in a villa with a heated pool ,which was the only thing we missed about our usual holiday. Would we recommend Esmeralda Park? Yes, but for families only. It is essentially a giant creche with lots and lots of happy, excited, screaming children everywhere. You will have to climb over children to get to the pool/shop/bar. We would not recommend it as a place to stay for those without children who are seeking a quiet, relaxing holiday! There is no quiet area on the complex that we could find in the ten days that we stayed. There are nice pools but no adult only pool. Off the complex is probably not one of the best areas we ve stayed in,a little bit tacky..but some things for the kids to do..few shops and restaurants so !!!, Hotel was busy and the night entertainment was outside the front of the complex,again mostly German..OK if you like a bit of cheesy entertainment,but a little noisy for those who prefer a little peace !. Even if you booked a half board option, at dinner time you do not get any free soft drink and you have to pay even for a water. Noisy brits, in two nights out of ten. Beds were a bit too hard. Huge cockroach crawled out one night. (was not surprised, as I know that they are hard to keep under control given the climate and the conditions) But would add that it may behoove the resort to make more frequent cleaning visits to insure that all food remains are always removed. We were a little surprised about how some people in service positions with high customer contact, had such limited skills in English. Beds were a little uncomfortable. Layout was unusual, you could not sit on the couches to watch TV. No courtsey room made available on checkout when late checkout unavailable - changing facilities in indoor pool area only - no big deal but a room woudl have been better especially for families. Beds were ROCK hard, did not get a good rest each night! The dinner needed more variety for Americas. There was fish I had never heard of and lots of food from the island but not enough types of food for kids. Chicken nuggets, chicken breasts, mac in cheese, spaghetti, ect. The meal for dinner was very pricy and you had to pay for your drinks separately!. Free wifi was only on bar area. To download morning newspapers you must sit on bar area, although bar is closed on same time. The queue for the restaurant. No lifts if you are disabled ask for ground floor ,we were given 3 floor which was about 6 lots of stairs ,we asked for a move and they put us on ground floor which was fine . Cala d´or is a small and not very spanish resort. Evening shows are ridiculously loud and echo around complex. Hard to locate in hire car (complex one way system). Although extremely clean, apartments are in need of some TLC. Too close to many of the overly tourist bars / pubs (but a slightly further walk to the Marina solves this). Also sometimes a little noisy between 9 and 10pm from the main stage entertainment. Also only limited parking available nearby. Nothing. Nothing special, perhaps the payment of the towels (should be for free). next time i go theiri i would stay on the ground floor .To manny steps to the second floor. All the smokers. They should really have their own hotel. Everywhere they are smoking. There should be a least one non smoking pool area! We hate smoking.. the car parking is a nightmare , if its crowded now when its quiet i dread to think what its going to be like when the season takes off . On our booking form we asked for 3 things , sea view , quiet and non-smoking . we didnt get any - our balcony in "K" block just faced another balcony , being on the ground floor we were at the mercy of those above and there were ash trays in the room , we did tackle reception but drew a blank there . Beds were a little uncomfortable. The dinner needed more variety and you had to pay for your drinks separately even if you booked a half board. The walls are very thin and can hear EVERYTHING, thus there is no such occassion to sleep-in on vacation. No wi-fi available in the rooms. The beds were very hard. Parking fills up quickly having to park far away from the room. Long line to check-in & check-out. Overcrowed. Rooms need renovation. Loud entertainment till 23.30 every night.
