There's two different guest houses in nearby buildings, one is rather communal backpacker style and the other is quieter. I was in the former (without knowing what I was getting into), and they were easy going about moving me into the latter. Good kitchen set up. The backpacker place was actually pretty nice for that sort of thing, just not what I was looking for (I'm a bit older than that now, and like my peace and quiet!).

  July 2013. We had a great time at this pension. We called ahead to say we would be late and the staff were very friendly and helpful, and some can speak English. When we arrived the staff could not speak English but communicated through a translator app!! The location is excellent, 5 mins walk from the centre of las Ramblas and a metro stop. The - Loved the staff, even though only one of them speaks English, but since he's there every day at day time, I had no problem asking for help.
