  This hostal is a converted apartment covering the first floor of the building.It has managed to retain many of the original features and character. No parking or lift but worth the effort. Great value for money but shame it rained! - Location of the hotel is excellent. Close to a metro station and in the middle of Las Ramblas and El Borne. In winter, el borne is a better place to be close rather than since la rambla. The staff has made really nice improvements and facilities in the hotel, that's nice. But some of the stuff like towels and sheets are really too old.

Purcha - It was only three minutes from the metro station and only 15 minutes from the old town for these persons who love walking and 10 minutes from Sagrada Famiglia. It was very clean, they clean the room every day and they change towels every time that you ask for it. Perfect wi-fi in the room and the staff is the most polite and helpful we 've ever met. They gave us a map of the town with the most popular monuments and they adviced us for everything that we asked. There is a lift. Very safe streets

We have a family of four (two teens) and had a terrible time finding a hotel or anything with appropriate bedding arrangements.   The room was small (perfect for a young couple) but everything seemed new and very clean. We had a small balcony off our room which was lovely and let lots of sunlight in. I was impressed by the quality for how much we paid. Great location for tourist attractions and just for wandering.   My friends and I really liked Casa Consell and liked it the most of all places we stayed during our two week trip thruout Europe. Stewart and his staff were very helpful and the accomodations were very comfortable. Our room was also very comfortable for the three of us. Stewart and staff helped us with our daily activities and getting - We are received with warm welcome to this charming hostel with excellent staffs. Everywhere was really clean and well-organized. Staffs are always for us to help. In our room, we had even patio which enjoyed a lot sitting out. We expected more of the noise from the streets, but it was really quiet. Kitchen facility was also very nice and clean when we cooked one evening and prepared extra things during breakfast as well. Thank you so much for your hospitality. We will definitely come back!!!
