  Quality of room and excellant views - A wonderful luxurious hotel situated on a hill just outside barcelona. The view was breathtaking and so were the rooms. Although we booked the least expensive category we got a fantastic room: spacious, extra extra large bed (v.comfy), big windows, enourmous bathroom with lots of nice toaletries.   The Catalonia Avinyo's staff called us a day ahead, informing that Catalonia Avinyo was fully booked so we were changed to another hotel in the same network called "Catalonia Port" and I really recommend this hotel!! Very new, very clean, very comfortable!! and it's near the port and Columbus Monument. The modern decor make it very comfortable and chic. Also, it has an excellent location. Very near everything.   The location was brilliant - the best of both worlds, close to a great beach and just a 15 minute walk to the city centre. Staff very friendly and helpful, room wonderful with incredibly comfortable beds. Excellent breakfast. Hotel is situated near the beach and not far from city center. Room was nicely decorated, especially we liked bathroom design. Delicious breakfast and as we booked 30 days in advance we had it for free. Very polite and helpful staff.

  It was right in the middle of the city and herself was delighted as it was on one of the main streets with all the famous Spanish retailers.
