The guest house is in a great location in Stellenbosch (a really lovely town), quiet and pleasant but very central. Our room was really comfortable, with it's own balcony, and the house itself has a very nice ambience, as well as an interesting history. Paul and Michelle, the co-owners, were very helpful and pleasant and they also serve up a great breakfast, with healthy and 'full breakfast' options depending on your taste..
所有评语 » Ouse Leeskamer is a unique historic building with a fascinating history. Our room had a lovely balcony overlooking a courtyard. Jonathan and Paul were both very hospitable and provided a wealth of information about places to visit in the local area. Very centrally located near to informal restaurants and coffee bars with a studenty vibe. All in all an excellent choice at a reasonable price; would definitely return. Paul, Michelle and Talitha were perfect hosts, attending to our every need with warmth and efficiency. The rooms--and the whole B&B were spotlessly clean. We were there during a cold, rainy spell and there was always a fire blazing in the lounge and comfortable armchairs to doze in, Our 4 day stay could not have been better. Nice location in the center of Stellenbosch. Very frienly and helpful staff. Breakfast in the garden is very good. The house is antic with lots of charme. Rooms need some renovation. Our room was not ideal due to traffic noise from the street, although we had made our reservation 10 weeks ahead. The room was perfect, with a tiny veranda looking out over a quiet courtyard with a massive tree. I could be anywhere in Europe! The room had everything you could wish for including real coffee and milk! And some rusks for the early morning and fresh fruit to nibble on. The guest house is perfectly located in the town; it is beautifully and comfortably presented, clean and tastefully furnished. The team who manage it work well together and are always around to help. It has a homely feel but is very professionally presented. Location, With a car easy access to Cape Town, Cape of Good Hope, penguin & whale watching and other scenic towns such as Greyton and Franschhoek. Not to mention the great staff who were extremely helpful. Beautiful guest house, luxurious rooms, fantastic staff willing to offer help with dinner reservations, tours etc. Excellent location making it easy to enjoy Stellenbosch. Friendly staff - without hesitation, our student children were allowed to eat breakfast with us - Thanks!! Walking distance to nice restaurants, little shops etc. Good location in a character house in the lovely town of Stellenboch. Nothing at all, it was a very pleasant stay. I had to stay on another day, and was moved to Room 5 which overlooks a busy street. But most people would not be too sensitive to that as it is a lot less noisy that all the big cities. The room was lovely but a bit small for larger people! The ground floor room had a balcony looking out on to the terrace where breakfast was served so guests could look in on us lying in bed! Our hot breakfast was served whilst we were still eating our fruit and cereal. Can't think of a thing. Liked everything!. Felt we were rushed over breakfast. Rooms and bed a bit small. Would have liked sunbeds and/or pool. Rather expensive for a B&B, but Stellenbosch tends to be an expensive tourist area catering for overseas tourists. Its purely a personal preference but a choice of pillows would be an added benefit - oh and to stay longer. Construction works opposite to the B&B, but that would only be temporary. The luxury double room was very small, regardless of the fact that it had a balcony. Significant building work was ongoing across the courtyard so the balcony didn't get used at all, noisy and builders a short distance away. The air conditioning unit dripped condensation all night every few minutes, disturbing our sleep. Turning it off meant an uncomfortably warm night and equally poor sleep... Management apologised but didn't seem surprised so I assume its not the first time it was reported. The rooms were just ok.
