A very comfortable small and intimate B&B in the leafy suburb of Melville. A very convenient place to stay for budget travellers visiting Johannesburg. Close to the city as well as the important suburbs. Excellent breakfasts and pretty, small garden. Very obliging staff. I´ve had a complete kitchen/room, bedroom, bathroom with a bath. Near from the restaurants avenue where was young people having fun at night, but far enough to garantee a quiet sleeping night. People was very friendly and helpful.
所有评语 » Location in Melville is the top for spending some day in Johannesburg (nice restaurants with music live!), Friendly staff, the owner helped us to make a trip in Soweto (a must!) ..satisfied!. The value for the money is very good. The guest-house is located in a very calm environement, quite rare in Johanesburg. Breakfast is very good. Thanks for making it easy for me to check-in very late on short notice (plane delay). Staff very friendly and helpful. Nice location. Quiet. great location, sheets smelled so clean, bed was great! all was very clean. walking distance to shops and coffee shops. The staff was amaizing, very friendly and always trying to help. The rooms were clean, tidy and super comfortable!. Very nice and safe location. Easy walk to pubs & restaurants. Helpfull and flexible staff, great breakfasts. People. I liked how friendly the staff was. They made breakfast for us even though we were always late. The place is very clean, flowers everywhere. It´s pretty. We felt welcome. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. beds were comfortable. The parking was not as easy as it might have been -- sometimes it was necessary to park behind others, and to move your car if they wanted to get out. But the fact that you could park securely off the street was very important. The doors and windows were not so easy to open and close. Nothing.. When we checked in, the staff was not that helpful (I asked to have the password to access the internet, he could not help). I could finally not access the internet. Also the staff was not very friendly and did not try to interact with us to give tips on the city (they just leave brochures at your disposal). We did not like the city and this probably negativelly impacts the image I have from the guest-house. Internet is free but very restricted (I had to renew the account each day and beg for MB volume). well, the floors weren't heated!. The night guard was very unfriendly and rude.The parking was adequate but you had to open and close the gate manually by yourself. Room is a bit small. should check everything is in working order before guests check in. Remote for tv was not working in one of the rooms. In another room the kettle kept on tripping power - suspected a faulty extension. Felt the room needed a fan. Far from airport. Toilet is not isolated from the room. Noisy. some rooms are quite small. Parking off road possible but tandem... There was no electricity for almost 24h, that´s a no-go for that price. Access to the premises early in the morning and/or late at night is problematic. Breakfast is served too late Internet access isn't free. Water leak in the bathroom - light was filled with water!. The security wasnt all that good for JHB. Manual gate opening late at night.
